Foot 130 A (Fra)

Under the glorious Prague sun, the Prague Fives continued to deliver thrilling matches, and the clash between Mitre FC A and FCRK was no exception. Mitre FC A, coming off a 4-4 draw and a dominant 5-0 victory, were eager to consolidate their position near the top of the table. In contrast, FCRK, having faced two heavy defeats (3-0 and 7-1), were determined to turn their fortunes around.

The match began with Mitre FC A displaying their attacking prowess. Sam Pagano, the tournament's top scorer, wasted no time in making his mark, putting Mitre FC A 1-0 up with his eighth goal of the tournament. This early strike set the tone for the game, and Mitre FC A continued to press forward. Rowen Mensah then doubled the lead with his first goal of the tournament, showcasing his skill and composure. The momentum remained firmly with Mitre FC A as Adam Smith added a third goal, also his first of the tournament, to put them 3-0 ahead.

FCRK, despite the scoreline, showed resilience and managed to pull one back through Lee Jun Hyeong, who found the net to make it 3-1. This goal injected some hope into the FCRK side, but their joy was short-lived. Mitre FC A, determined to secure the victory, responded swiftly. Joseph Atunrase sealed the win with his third goal of the tournament, making it 4-1. This final strike underscored Mitre FC A's dominance and highlighted their clinical finishing.

Mitre FC opened up a 3 point lead at the top of the table and had thrown down the gauntlet to Foot 130 A and Moles Salah B who had a game each in hand. FCRK, despite their spirited effort, remained in 6th place, still seeking their first points of the competition.

FC Fylde Old Boys made their eurofootballfives.com debut at the 2017 Krakow Trophy, fielding two teams. The A team won two out of five games in a challenging group, advancing to the Plate where they triumphed 7-1 in the Semi-Finals but lost on penalties in the final. The B team topped Group B with 12 points, reaching the Cup Semi-Finals but narrowly missing out on a final spot with a 2-1 loss. In the 2018 Amsterdam Fives, the A team finished third in their group and qualified for the Cup, only to be defeated by the eventual winners, while the B team struggled and exited early.

In the 2019 Alicante Tournament, FC Fylde concentrated their efforts into one team, finishing third in their group and qualifying for the Cup, though they were eliminated by the eventual winners again. Returning post-Covid at the 2023 Lisbon Tournament, they started strong but finished third in their group, advancing to the Plate where they secured a win in the knockout phase before a 4-1 defeat ended their run. Throughout these tournaments, FC Fylde Old Boys have consistently showcased resilience and competitive spirit.

They would need all that resilience to bounce back from defeat last time out but were still well placed in the table due to a 3-0 opening win. Another win here could see them move up to second in the table. It would not be easy against an unbeaten Moles Salah B team who could go joint top with a win of their own.

It was Fylde FC Old Boys who struck first. Nathaniel Smithies scored twice in Round 1 and was on the scoresheet again here. Michael Dryden made it 2-0 and things were looking good but Moles Salah B had other ideas. George Harnett was on target to reduce the lead to 2-1 but Fylde FC Old Boys soon re-established the two goal cushion with Dryden's second of the game. They soon had the luxury of a three goal lead as Ryan Errington made it 4-1. Jack Barr kept up his record of scoring in every game as he reduced the lead to 4-2 but his goal was to prove a mere consolation as Fylde FC Old Boys completed a 4-2 win.

To complete Round 3 was Spider Mans & Eagle versus Foot 130.

Spider Mans & Eagle made their eurofootballfives.com debut at the 2014 Bratislava Fives, finishing second in their group and advancing to the Cup Quarter-Finals. Despite a valiant 2-2 draw, they exited on penalties. In the 2015 Budapest Fives, they finished third in their group, and a 5-0 Quarter-Final win saw them reach the Semi-Finals, where they again faced defeat to CIS Committee. The 2015 Lisbon Tournament saw them draw four out of five games, finishing fifth in their group and exiting in the knockout phase after a penalty shootout loss. Their best performance came at the 2016 Krakow Trophy, where they won all group games, reached the Cup Final, but ultimately lost 5-2 to Tinniedad & Tobacco.

In their first Amsterdam visit in 2016, Spider Mans 1s finished second in their group but were knocked out in the Quarter-Finals. At the 2017 Budapest Fives, they finished second in their group but were narrowly defeated by the eventual champions in the Quarter-Finals. The 2017 Amsterdam Sixes saw them lift their first trophy by winning the Plate. They continued to perform well, particularly in the 2017 Barcelona Fives, where they dominated the group stage but exited in the Cup Quarter-Finals. In 2018, they had mixed results in Riga and Gdansk, and at the 2019 Lisbon Tournament, their 5hitters team reached the Cup Semi-Finals. They also competed in the 2020 Warsaw Tournament, finishing third in their group and exiting in the Plate Semi-Finals. Their last appearance was at the 2022 Amsterdam Fives, where they had a strong start but were eliminated in the group stage.

Spider Mans had taken 1 point from 6 so far today and the last thing they needed was a match against Foot 130 A who were so far unbeaten and had a chance to go top with a victory. Warren Whitmore gave the English team the perfect start as he put his team 1-0 up. It only seemed to spur Foot 130 A into action. Rodrigue Atikossie responded with a hat-trick before Sebastian Thomas, Antoine Borrel and Basile de Fontenay all scored to make it 6-1. Spider Mans & Eagle did have the final say when Liam Angel made it 6-2 but Foot 130 A marched on.
