Mitre FC debuted in our events last year at the 2023 Barcelona Fives. The A team began well with a 5-0 win over Kiwi FC before a second win against Dutch side Apolo Leyendas, 2-0. A 0-0 draw against the 2021 runners-up Sharks maintained their unbeaten run before returning to winning ways (3-0) against John Arne Riise's Pieces. A 1-1 draw followed against RSC Andylecht before they met the defending champions, Norfolk N Chance. They needed a win to reach the Cup but lost 3-1 and would progress to the Plate as a team to watch. They despatched Mardons FC 4-1 in the Quarters before meeting RSC Andylecht again in the SF. This time they defeated their opponents to set-up a final against John Arne Riise's Pieces. They secured a second victory against them and won the Plate, 3-1.

They got off to a good start here in Prague with an entertaining 4-4 draw against the 2023 Amsterdam Fives champions, Foot 130. They were up against another team who'd had a good start in the form of Fylde FC Old Boys who defeated Spider Mans 3-0 first time out.

Sam Pagano put his team 1-0 up in Round 1 and he was to do so again in Round 2. Amazingly, it was his fifth goal of the day already. The goals continued to flow as he made it 2-0 and then 3-0. Two games, two hat-tricks – and an early contender for the top goalscorer. Joseph Atunrase then pitched in to make it 4-0 and 5-0 as Mitre FC wrapped up their first win of the day.

For FCRK, the day started on a challenging note with a 3-0 loss in their first game. The second match saw them face Foot 130 A, a team coming off an electrifying 4-4 draw in their opener.

From the outset in this match, Foot 130 A demonstrated their dominance on the field. Sebastian Thomas set the tone with an early goal, swiftly followed by a brace from Rodrigue Atikossie. Antoine Borrel added to FCRK's woes with another goal, taking the score to a commanding 4-0. Basile de Fontenay then showcased his scoring prowess by netting a brace, pushing the lead to an overwhelming 6-0.

FCRK, however, refused to go down without a fight. In a moment of resilience, Moses Kang managed to breach Foot 130 A's defence, scoring a consolation goal to make it 6-1. But Foot 130 A had the final say in this one-sided encounter, with Basile de Fontenay completing the scoring spree with his hat-trick goal, sealing a resounding 7-1 victory.

Despite the scoreline, FCRK's determination and sportsmanship shone through, while Foot 130 A's clinical performance set them apart as a formidable force in the tournament.

Moles Salah B most recently played in our events at the 2023 Krakow Trophy which saw them begin with a crushing 6-0 win against Krwiodawcow Cracovii before meeting Skidmarks for a third time in our events. They lost this one 4-1 but quickly returned to winning ways with a 2-0 win over TaHu (Fin). A third win in four games was secured by beating Alea Iacta Est 2-1. They met the group leaders Colonel Getafe in the final group game needing a win to reach the Cup but a 3-1 loss meant Plate qualification. In the Semi-Finals they drew the toughest possible tie against 2017 Krakow Trophy & 2019 Gdansk Tournament Cup winners, Big Time Krakow. They pushed them close but lost narrowly, 1-0.

Today, they also began with a convincing win – 3-0 against FCRK. Their second opponents would be Spider Mans & Eagle who were looking to bounce back from a 3-0 defeat. It didn't start well for the men in Batman shirts as Jack Barr continued where he left off in Round 1 with the opening two goals of the game. It took his tally to four for the tournament. Warren Whitmore reduced the deficit to 2-1 with his team's first goal of the day. The goal acted as a catalyst for Spider Mans & Eagle as the team clicked into gear. Liam Stevens goal scored as Moles Salah B saw their 2-0 lead evaporate. It got even better for Spider Mans as Ali Stewart put his side ahead at 3-2.

Moles Salah B then showed great resilience. The momentum was firmly against them but they rescued a point as Ben Soden levelled things up to make it 3-3. The referee blew his whistle for full-time and the points were shared. It was another cracking game in Group A.
