Group C was really hotting up as we entered Round 4. Match 10 of the group was Eltham International versus RAF.

This was RAF's 12th appearance in our tournaments and their second visit to the Mallorca Fives. When they appeared at the 2019 edition of the tournament they finished Group B with 4 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat to finish just 1 point behind the defending champions, Bar Maruru. Their goal difference of 11-2 showed they were on fine form. They qualified for the Cup and in the Quarter-Finals drew 0-0 with Urbansport but progressed 2-0 on penalties. In the Semi-Finals they met Ecuador 100% and went out 3-1. There is no shame in this as Ecuador 100% went on to win the tournament and still hold the title to this day.

Eltham International's form today read Loss-Win-Loss. They sat in fifth position of the table but a win could see them move up to second place. Lee Dilley's third goal of the tournament put them on track to do just that. RAF hit back though with Cristiano Silva making it 1-1. The game then belonged to Stefano Chagas as he scored a fine hat-trick that included dispossessing RAF goalkeeper Ricardo Pacheco before firing home and moments later a cute backheel. Eltham International ran out 4-1 winners.

The win put Eltham International in a strong position in the table but two successive defeats for RAF had seen them slip down to fifth place (once other results in Round 4 had been chalked up).

Match 11 of Group C saw Sutton on Tour (Eng) versus Maruru (Spa). The teams sat in fourth and sixth place at the start of the game. A win would draw them closer to Team Rock and a place in the Cup. A defeat would see them most likely be battling for the Plate in the final round of fixtures.

This was Maruru's 20 th game in the group phase of our events. Of the previous 19 they had won 14, drawn 3 and lost 2 with a goal difference of 51-12. Both those defeats had come this morning but they had won their last game 3-1 so would enter this fixture with renewed vigour. Sutton on Tour had only lost once today to league leaders Team Rock. However, two draws – whilst good results, had stunted their progress up the table.

Maruru looked to be finding their feet in this tournament as they forged ahead in this game. Xisco Masegosa scored for the second game in succession with Marc Torres finding the back of the net for the first time today to make it 2-0. Scoring goals was Sutton on Tour's achilles' heel today and they were unable to breach the Maruru defence. Maruru wrapped up the victory and went joint second in the group standings.

The game that would take us into the final round of fixtures would be Dumpling CF versus Team Rock. Team Rock were the standout team in Group C so far with 3 wins out of 3 scoring 8 goals in the process and yet to concede. Dumpling CF started Round 4 in third place knowing a win could put them in second and with a strong chance of Cup qualification.

The opening goal of this one went with the form book as Jaume Gamundi scored his third of the tournament. With their noses in front you may be forgiven for thinking that win #4 was incoming. However, Dumpling CF had other ideas. Rob Huckle equalized and became the first person to score past Jorge Tesada today. It was game on.

Team Rock regained the lead when Victor Mato scored his second of the tournament and first in 3 games. 2-1 then became 3-1 as Jaume Gamundi scored his second brace of the day. It looked like the points were destined to be Spanish but Dumpling CF had other ideas and just refused to go away. Will Earles reduced the deficit to 3-2 but ultimately Team Rock had done enough to win 3-2. The Spanish team had secured Cup qualification and the Group C title with a game to spare.

It was a spirited performance from Dumpling CF which did not bear fruit. As a result they slipped to fourth position in the table.
