Fleet
Street Elite A and Spider Mans & Eagle was
the next big kick-off on Pitch C. Fleet Street
Elite A were without a win and looking for their
first goal of the tournament. They would hardly
have been thrilled to see that their opposition
had won both their games with an aggregate score
of 6-1.
That
said, DHL Prague entered their third game with
a similarly good record and were turned over.
Spider Mans & Eagle never looked like they
were going to suffer the same fate. The men
in black quickly established a 2-0 half-time
lead.
Fleet
Street Elite A had an uphill task at kick-off
but they now had a mountain climb and that mountain
was getting more and more difficult to scale
with every goal that Spider Mans & Eagle
scored. To be honest, there was some heroic
defending from Fleet Street Elite A with defenders
stopping the ball on the line twice, getting
hit in the face to block goalbound shots and
the goalkeeper made some good saves. Still,
the Spider Mans & Eagle juggernaut rolled
on and made it a 5-0 winning scoreline.
There
was a hat-trick for Nick McIntosh to add to
his brace in the first game – an early contender
for the top goalscorer prize. There was also
a double for Paul Williams.
Spider
Mans & Eagle led the way in Group C.
