Next
up was Football Bassano MMIII of Italy against
Johnsbridge FC of England. Football Bassano
MMIII were on debut and the first team from
Italy to compete at the Krakow Trophy. We wished
them luck.
Johnsbridge
FC were making their second eurofootballfives.com
appearance having made their European bow at
the 2014 Budapest Fives. They were hugely impressive
on debut finishing second in their 6 team group
to eventual winners and 2-times @eurofootball5
winners CIS Committee of Belarus. Their group
also featured France's The A Team who have reached
two eurofootballfives.com finals. In the Quarter-Finals
they drew home team Csabagyongye and went out
by the narrowest of margins, 1-0. Csabagyongye
incidentally would become Budapest Fives champions
12 months later in 2015.
With
the game underway it was the Italian team who
struck first with Stefano Rosso scoring their
first goal in eurofootballfives.com competition.
Half-time came and went with the score still
at 1-0. After the break Antonio Lancerin made
it 2-0 before Christian Fabris secured a confident
3-0 win for Football Bassano MMIII.
