Last but not least, we come to Group C where the group began with DHL Prague versus Odmienowie FC.

DHL Prague (Cze) are our most capped team ever. The 2016 Krakow Trophy will be their 17th appearance in eurofootballfives competition. Their best achievements to date have been a 2 nd Place finish in the 2007 Prague Trophy, victory in the 2008 Barca Fives Plate plus Plate runners-up finishes in the 2008 Prague Trophy, 2010 Krakow Trophy, 2010 Prague Masters and 2010 Prague Trophy. Krakow will be their 9 th foreign adventure after trips to Barcelona (x2), Krakow (x2) Budapest, Berlin (x2) and Bratislava. In Berlin 2012 the DHL Prague White squad won their group with a 100% record before a surprise Cup Quarter-Final exit. Their most recent appearance saw them finish 2nd in Group A behind 2-times @eurofootball5's winners Skidmarks. They went out to Team Slovakia for a second successive Cup Quarter-Final exit.

Odmienowie FC were making their second appearance and it was the greater experience of DHL Prague that told in the early stages as Rupert Baltrock, Jeremie Touret and Dan Finley helped establish a 3-1 lead for the men from Prague. A Lee Butters goal kept Odmienowie in the hunt if they could stage a second half comeback.

Lukas Lesbovsky, a Polish player in the Czech ranks, made it 4-1 after the break and sealed victory for DHL Prague.

Match 2 in Group C saw 9 Nana Budds meet Fleet Street Elite A.

9 Nana Budds were making their fifth eurofootballfives.com appearance in Krakow. They got off to a cracking start winning the inaugural 2009 Valencia Fives. At the 2011 Algarve Open they finished in a strong group behind 2 times champions Goldsmith Williams before a 3-1 Quarter-Final exit to Cheesecake FC. At the 2014 Budapest Fives they went through their group 5 games unbeaten without conceding a goal but finished 2nd behind Csabagyongye (who won the 2015 Budapest Fives). This meant they drew CIS Committee of Belaurs who won the tournament and accounted for 9 Nana Budds 3-0 in the Quarter-Finals. Their last performance was in the 2015 Berlin Fives where they finished 4 th in their 6 th team group to progress to the Plate competition. The Quarter-Finals saw them progress 2-1 over FC Auslander before a 1-1 draw in the Semi-Finals which meant a penalty shoot-out. They went out 3-2 on penalties to Rayford Athletic.

Fleet Street Elite A were the second of two Fleet Street Elite teams in the draw. We will preview them more later. This match proved to be a close encounter in the opening period with both defences on top and neither team able to breakthrough – 0-0.

In the second half the deadlock was broken and it was a goal that would decide this match. Paul Taylor scored it and it was 9 Nana Budds that emerged victorious, 1-0.

The final teams to get underway in Group C were Spider Mans & Eagle and Nowa Huta Team.

Spider Mans & Eagle made an impressive debut at the 2014 Bratislava Fives. They lost their first game, 3-0, to eventual champions CIS Committee but bounced back in style. 2-0 and 3-1 victories followed before a 2-2 draw consolidated their progress. They finished off the group with a 3-0 win to take 2 nd place and qualify for the Cup. In the Quarter-Finals they battled out a 2-2 draw with Shahs of Sunset before a penalty shoot-out saw them exit the competition. Fast forward to May 2015 and they appeared again at the 2015 Budapest Fives finishing 3 rd in a group that would also contain the eventual champions. They qualified for the Cup and recorded a thumping 5-0 win in the Quarter-Finals before meeting CIS Committee in the Semi-Finals. They lost to them in Bratislava and were to do so again in Budapest but it was a good performance despite the 3-1 defeat. Their most recent performance was at the 2015 Lisbon Tournament where the Eagles team were the draw specialists of the tournament with 4 draws out of 5 which hindered their league progress and so they finished 5th. The knock-out phase saw yet another draw and so they would go to penalties with “Where's Dave?” – the latter winning an epic shoot-out, 5-4.

Their opening game of the 2016 Krakow Trophy was certainly not going to be a draw as Spider Mans & Eagle flew out the blocks and scored goals for fun. Justin Shelley, Richard Eggleston, Nick McIntosh (2) and Ryan Stevens all found the net.

The final score was 5-1 with just a Pawel Sobczyk goal for Nowa Huta preventing the perfect opening result.
