Next
up on Pitch A was Fleet Street Elite 1 versus
FC Funtime. The former were looking for their
first points of the day whilst the latter were
hoping to reach the summit by claiming a second
successive victory.
There
was not much between the teams in the first
half and, in fact, it would be a solitary strike
that would divide the teams going into half-time.
That strike came from Mateusz Wiackowski – his
second in as many games – and it was FC Funtime
who lead.
At
1-0 the game was delicately poised and the second
goal in this game was always likely to be crucial
in the destination of the points. Should Fleet
Street Elite 1 get it then it was game on but
should FC Funtime manage to claim it they would
be well on course victory.
When
the second goal arrived it was Kasper Kulinowski
who scored it and at 2-0 Fleet Street Elite
1 had an uphill task to get something from this
game. That task got more difficult when Kulinowski
scored his second and FC Funtime's third goal
to complete victory.
Fleet
Street Elite 1 could still qualify for the Cup
despite two defeats but they would now need
to win their final 3 games. FC Funtime were
well on their way.
