The
eurofootballfives.com tour hits Krakow for the
12th time as the Krakow Trophy returns to our
schedule in Poland's party capital.
For 2020 the tournament will be a 6v6 event. After
the popularity of our Amsteram Sixes over the
last few seasons we will now have a second 6v6
tournament in our calendar. For 2020, Krakow has
been selected.
In terms of your night out, you could not ask
for more than Krakow . Krakow is a traditional
university town which provides this historical
city with a young edge and where you have a university
you always have plenty of bars and clubs. Krakow
is also great value with plenty of Zlotys for
your Pound/Euro.

The
2019 Mallorca Fives was our 12th weekend on the
glorious island of Mallorca (15th tournament as
3 of those weekends have been double-headers with
our Veterans tournament). At the 2018 Mallorca
Tournament Bar Maruru defeated Ecuador 100%
5-0 in the Cup Final. Both teams reached the Cup
Final again here in 2019 and it was Ecuador 100%
who turned the tables - and in style. They walked
off the pitch celebrating a resounding 6-0 victory.
In
the Plate competition there was travelling success
for GHSFC (Eng). They lifted their first silverware
in eurofootballfives.com tournament action as
they defeated compatriots AFC Basemen thanks to
a second half goal from Camen Bhandal.
The
personal honours were claimed by Joe Thornton
of Deddington Sea Cats who scored 12 on the day.
Many congratulations to him and thank you to everyone
who participated. It was a lot of fun!

CIS
Committee visited Amsterdam as the joint most
successful team in our history. The Belarus team
returned to Minsk with sole occupancy of that
title. They previously held four of our titles
- 2014 Budapest Fives, 2014 Bratislava Fives,
2016 Prague Tournament and the 2017 Vilnius Tournament.
In
Amsterdam they made history as they produced a
stunnin victory to claim the 2018 Amsterdam Sixes.
In the Cup Final they defeated 2014 Mallorca Fives
winners, Cheesecake FC.
In
the Plate competition there was success on debut
or FC Gijon who defeated Top Bunners on penalties
in the final.
Individual
success went to Kevin Raphael of Cheesecake with
10 goals for the golden boot award. His second
top goalscorer award in our tournaments.

Melee
FC have been one of our longest serving teams
on the circuit and they have come very close to
success on many an occasion including two previous
Cup Finals. One of those Cup Finals was here in
Amsterdam in 2014. They obviously had unfinished
business in the Dutch capital.
They
were second in 2014 but now winners here in 2018.
The Cup Final went all the way to penalties where
they defeated 2 x title winners, Skidmarks.
In
the Plate competition LMH FC picked up winners
medals for their second tournament in a row. They
now had Amsterdam medals to go with the ones they
collected in Vilnius last year.
The
Top Scorer award went to Chris Wright of JK Silvertown
- well done to him.

In
2009, 9 Nana Budds won our Valencia Fives event
on their debut in our tournaments. Their travels
had since taken them to the Algarve, Budapest,
Berlin, annd Krakow over the years. Their search
for a second title had proven fruitless....until
now! On their second trip to the Algarve here
in 2018 the pulled off a stunning victory.
You
can read about how they did it in our post tour
report here.
In
the Plate competition there was success for Spain's
AC Motxo International. It was quite a debut for
the Spanish team - the first of many more eurofootballfives.com
visits we hope! |

Lisbon
kicked off eurofootballfives.com's 12th season
in Europe and it was a superb event with 24 teams
representing Belgium, Brazil, Denmark, England,
Ireland, Morocco, Poland, Portugal and Spain.
At the
end of the festivities it was Ireland's Saipan
FC who claimed victory to follow-up their success
at the 2015 Mallorca Fives. There was success
for BSP FC in the Plate competition who now had
a Cup (2017 Amsterdam Fives) and a Plate in their
possession.
The
third tier Trophy competition was won by Trinacria
A of Belgium - but they needed penalties.

The
Barcelona Fives once again capped a wonderful
eurofootballfives.com year of action in this great
city. We had a record 32 teams internationally
from England, France, Ireland, Italy and Northern
Ireland with Spanish teams coming from Barcelona,
Madrid and Valencia.
We
had three competitions within the tournament after
the group phase - the overall Cup competition
with second tier Plate and third tier Trophy competition.
Club
Esportiu Llefia won the 2015 Barcelona Fives and
were back to defend their title. They were ultimately
unable to do so but Club Esportiu Llefia did triumph
- in the Plate competiton. The main title this
year went to Elcombe Old Boys who won the Barcelona
Fives at the fourth attempt. In the Trophy competition,
Bolivar won the title that they also won last
year (under the name of Equipo De Christian).
The
other honours of the day went to Alfred Jimenez
De Andres for the second year in a row. He was
the top goalscorer with 12 goals.

Despite
a strong international challenge with six English
teams and Spain United all reaching the Cup Quarter-Finals
it was the Dutch team Benecke who claimed glory
at the 2016 Amsterdam Fives. They defeated Spain
United 5-2 in the Cup Final. Benecke also featured
the tournament top goalscorer, Dylan George, who
struck an incredible 15 teams over the course
of the tournament.
In
the Plate competition it was England versus Holland
in the final as Rain Dragons met Team Koopman.
After a thrilling 4-4 draw the Plate was decided
by an epic penalty shoot-out. After 19 exemplary
penalties someone inevitably had to miss and it
was Team Koopman who were on the victorious side
10-9 in the shoot-out.

The
2016 Mallorca Tournament was another glorious
weekend in the Balearics as we had 24 teams sign
up to compete at the tournament. In recent years
we have had overseas success with Cheesecake FC
(Eng) defeating Palma Select (Spa) 2-0 in 2014.
Then last year we had Saipan FC (Ire) defeat ZVC
Indoor Gent (Bel) 1-0 in 2015.
It
was Spanish success in 2016 as Peluqueria Mariano
defeated their compatriots Los Pibes in the Cup
Final.
In
the Plate competition there was success for We've
Got Wood who defeated St Paul's College Old Boys
1st Team 1-0 in the final. St Paul's were gunning
for a third successive Plate win after victory
in the Plate at the 2014 Amsterdam Fives and 2015
Bratislava Fives.

We
had a sensational day of action in Budapest
to mark the 6th annual Budapest Fives. We had
many familiar faces in the form of Budapest Celtic,
CIS Committee and Meglepetes plus a host of debutants
to create a great atmosphere on the day.
CIS
Committee were looking for their 2nd Budapest
Fives title in 3 years but crashed out on penalties
to Budapest Celtic Greens. Budapest Celtic Greens
then competed in the Cup Final but Budapest Celtic
finished runners-up for the third time in 6 years
as Meglepetes wrapped up a fine victory.
In
the Plate competition, it was FC Broxelona versus
FC Broxelona as the A team met the B team. There
was a goal-fest in the final as the A team struck
a late winner to take the trophy and winners'
medals, 4-3.
A
successful day for Meglepetes was compounded as
Domonkos Muranyi was the tournament top goalscorer
with 9 goals.

The

stunning success.

Poland and Slovakia all participating to compete
for the title of 2016 Krakow Trophy champions.
There was a first victory for Tinniedad &
Tobacco after two penalty shoot-out defeats in
Cup Semi-Finals in Barcelona 2014 and Berlin 2015.

the Plate competition there was success for Misfits
FC who defeated Johnsbridge FC in the Final. The

We
rotate our destinations to keep our schedule
fresh. After being rested for Bratislava and
Lisbon to appear in our schedule, the Krakow
Trophy returns to our programme for 2016.
Krakow
has emerged over the last few years as one of
the best nights out and best venues for a stag
weekend or football tour in Europe. With the
euro & pound still strong against the Polish
Zloty then Krakow represents some of the best
value available for your European tour.
We
have a great venue lined up for the tournament
- a venue that has been used by the likes of
Monaco and was the training camp for England
at Euro 2012. Krakow was the venue for our first
ever tournament and remains one of our favourites.

Following
over 20 successful tournaments in Albufeira (Algarve),
Barcelona, Mallorca and Valencia over the last
few years it is clear to see you love your football
set against a backdrop of sun, beach, sea, good
climate and not to mention a cracking nightlife.
It is therefore no surprise to see Lisbon become
our latest sun destination on the tournament calendar
and become our 5th destination on the Iberian
peninsular.
The
tournament will have both an "Open Age"
tournament and a "Veterans" tournament
all on the same day and at the same venue.
Lisbon's
nightlife is generally considered to be amongst
the best in Europe. The night in Lisbon starts
at sunset and goes on until dawn - definitely
not to be missed. The nightlife is concentrated
around the Barrio Alto area and more recently
the emerging Docas area - both are superb.

The
Budapest nightlife is one of the best in Europe

On
the 10th October, eurofootballfives.com capped
a wonderful year of action in the great Catalan
city of Barcelona. We had 18 travelling teams
and 7 local teams come together in a festival
of football and do battle for the Barcelona Fives
title.
We
had three competitions within the tournament after
the morning group phase - the overall Cup competition
with second tier Plate and third tier Trophy competition.
Club
Esportiu Llefia won the 2015 Barcelona Fives to
become the 5th Spanish team and the first since
2012 to collect the winners trophy. Alabama Hotpockets
won the Plate in 2013 (as Depo Allstars) were
today's runners-up. The 2015 Plate was won by
Hardly Athletic defeating Drunk Perfect 2-0. The
Trophy trophy went to Equipo de Cristhian who
saw off the challenge of FC Atwood.
The
other honours of the day were Alfred Jimenez De
Andres who was the top goalscorer with 9 goals.

September 2015 and our 2nd visit to Lisbon and
12th to Portugal for a sensational weekend of
late Summer sun, sumptious football at a stunning
venue and not to mention salivating over the
local Sagres and Superbock.
The home challenge was strong and provided us
with 5 of the 8 Cup Quarter-Finalists, 3 of
the 4 Cup Semi-Finalists and both Finalists
as Bubble Football emerged victorious 1-0 over
Fidelidade in the show-piece game as the shadows
began to lengthen at the Estadio Municipal.
We saw a Frank Hirth double in the Plate and
the Trophy as they won both competitions beating
Shahs of Sunset and Red Cow Belgrade respectively
to take two trophies and two sets of medals
on to the plane home to England.
Personal honours went to Ivo Simoes of Bubble
Football who was the top goalscorer on the day
with a haul of 7 goals.

At
their 7th eurofootballfives.com appearance, Saipan
FC claimed their first Cup victory and what a
fine victory it was. They defeated the 2011 winners
twice on the day (in the group and Semi-Final),
a 2-time Semi-Finalist Centrale Paris in the Quarter-Finals
and a very good Belgian team, ZVC Indoor Gent
in the Cup Final. It was a thoroughly deserved
win and after losing 3 Plate Finals they are now
on a winning run of 2014 Valencia Fives Plate
and 2015 Mallorca Tournament Cup - happy days!

A
home team claimed the Algarve Open for the second
year in a row after Dutch and English domination
in the preceeding years. It was Futeboladas of
Portugal who took the glory in 2015 to emulate
Stand Cristina's victory in 2014. Futeboladas
served up a terrific performance in the Cup Final
to defeat RC Lens 3-0 and take the title.
The
Plate competition was won by AFC Shooters A as
we saw another 3-0 score in the final as they
defeated Mavericks.

pulled off a sensational result to win the 2015
Budapest Fives. In the Cup Final they were up
against the defending champions and 2014 Bratislava
Fives winners CIS Committee of Belarus. CIS
were favourites no doubt but Csabagyongye turned
the tables and having been 1-0 down recovered
to win 2-1. They had two Cup Semi-Finals under
their belts in Budapest in previous years and
in their first Cup Final they raised the bar
with a sensational performance.
In
the Plate competition, Naranjitos of Spain made
it 2 Plate wins in 7 months as they added the
2015 Budapest Fives Plate to the 2014 Barcelona
Fives Plate they won in October last year. In
the Plate Final they saw off Budapest Celtic
Tigers who added to their collection of Runners-Up
medals in Plate competition.

In
our 65th European extravaganza, Slovakia became
the latest nation to have a team lift the golden
winners trophy aloft. As our season kicked off
in Bratislava it was GSF Drunkerz who won the
Cup Final with a 1-0 win over The A Team of France.
The
A Team looked on course to claim their first title
but were left in 2nd place for the 2nd time (after
defeat in the 2013 Krakow Trophy Cup Final) as
they succumbed to a second half penalty and an
inspired home goalkeeping performance.
In
the Plate competition, St Paul's College Old Boys
claimed their second Plate win as they added the
Bratislava trophy to their 2014 Amsterdam crown.
Personal
honours went to The A Team's Dydynho as he won
his 3rd Top Goalscorer awared (after success in
Krakow 2013 and Budapest 2014).
