The
2015 eurofootballfives.com 5-a-side football
tournament season kicked off in style as Bratislava
in Slovakia played host to our season opener.
A great city, a great venue and an absolutely
amazing atmosphere amongst the teams meant this
tournament will be one to remember for quite
some time.
GSF
Drunkerz won the Plate at the 2014 Bratislava
Fives but they stepped up their performance
to take overall glory in the 2015 tournament.
They earned a hard fought victory over The A
Team of France. The A Team were the top scoring
team in the tournament, had the joint best defence
in the tournament and had top goalscorer Dydynho
in their ranks. GSF Drunkerz defended superbly
and took their chance at the other end to claim
a 1-0 victory.
In
the Plate competition there was jubilation for
St Paul's College Old Boys who went home with
a trophy and winners medals for the second year
in succession. At the 2014 Amsterdam Fives they
claimed Plate victory and repeated the feat
here in Bratislava. They saw off the challenge
of Team Bear II with a 4-1 victory in the Plate
Final.
The
personal honours of the day went to Dydynho
- his third Top Goalscorer award in eurofootballfives.com
competition after winning the Golden Boot at
the 2013 Krakow Trophy and the 2014 Budapest
Fives. He is only the second man to achieve
this record after Daniel Powell (Amsterdam Fives
2011, Mallorca Tournament 2012 and 2013).
