The
2009 Barca Fives signed off another cracking season
of eurofootballfives action and we probably left
the best until last. 16 teams from Bulgaria, the
Czech Republic, England, France and Spain came
together to compete and we were treated to a classic.
The Lozenetz City (Bulgaria) versus Luminy Wolves
(France) semi-final and Goldsmith Williams (England)
versus Luminy Wolves (France) final were amongst
the best games we have witnessed.
In
an unbelievable atmosphere it was the French team
who came through on penalties. In the Plate competition,
Equipo A of Spain were victorious. Xavi Moya of
Equipo A was top goalscorer with 10 goals during
the competition. Click

In
2007 Dogshead FC entered the Prague Trophy and
despite having a perfect group record came unstuck
in the quarter-finals with a shock exit by Golden
Goal. In 2009 they returned to have another crack
at winning the title and accomplished their mission
with aplomb.
There
were two former previous champions in the 12 team
field as 2007 Prague Masters winners Kehar Club
and 2009 Krakow Trophy champions the Rigford Seahawks
took to the field.
We
all enjoyed a great day of tournament action and

The
2009 Amsterdam Fives signed off our summer season
in style as the Dutch capital lived up to all
expectations both on and off the pitch.
In the main Cup competition we saw debutants Bull
Heads lift their first eurofootballfives.com title
conceding just the one goal along the way. They
defeated the tournament's surprise package Blazers
Army 2-0 in the final. Blazers Army reached the
final courtesy of two golden goals.
In the Plate competition, the CSF made it 3 plate
titles as they won their 3rd title in 4 plate
finals. They needed a golden goal themselves to
do it as they upset Dutch team Tom Tom Go to claim
the victory.
A great day was had by all and the main problem
the teams have now is which eurofootballfives.com
tournament to conquer next?

The
2009 Prague Masters saw some of the greatest drama
and tension in eurofootballfives.com history to
date. With two former winners and also former
semi-finalists in the line up we were promised
competitive action. We were not disappointed and
treated to a fantastic final when Lozenetz City
came from behind to beat defending champions Goldsmith
Williams.
Lozenetz
City were our first ever winners from Bulgaria
and their trip from Sofia was certainly worth
the long journey. Click here to see exactly how
they won the tournament.

For
those that were lucky enough to be there, the
spectators at the 2009 Barcelona Fives final witnessed
our first ever Cup Final to be decided by penalties.
After slogging it out in normal time and extra
time Bloomberg FC and Anglo Knights could not
be separated.
The
dreaded penalty shoot-out was needed to decide
who would be crowned 2009 Barcelona Fives champions.

The
2009 Algarve Open was our largest tournament team
to date with 20 teams taking on the challenge
to win in Portugal. After a full day of
action on the sunny Algarve coast it was Olympic
Phil Babb who emerged victorious.
They
became the first team to win two eurofootballfives.com
tournaments and followed up their 2008 Amsterdam
Fives victory with the the 2009 Algarve Open title.
We've been advised that Barcelona is their next
target in 2010 as they aim for the hat-trick.

The
Krakow Trophy kicked off the eurofootballfives.com
season triumphantly for the third consecutive
year as Rigford Seahawks claimed the title on
a gorgeous summer's day in the party capital of
Poland.
Afdter
a full day of action, bathed in glorious sunshine
the Seahawks success left local Polish teams without
success on home soil for another year. The locals
will have to wait another 12 months and try their
luck again in 2010 to end this unenviable record.
