Group C entered its climactic stages with all teams having just one more chance to secure their destiny in the 2013 Krakow Trophy. The group was so tight the permutations were numerous. First up to stake their claim was Krakow Team versus Budapest Celtic Tigers.

We were effectively in the realm of knock-out football as the teams needed to win really to qualify. A draw would not be much use (subject to other results) so it was odds on to be an attacking game. Therefore, we were 0-0 at HT!

In the second half the deadlock was broken as Rafat Bedlewicz put Krakow Team ahead. Budapest Celtic Tigers had begun so well with two wins on the spin but were now facing two successive defeats. That prospect looked more likely when Filip Betzak made it 2-0 and was assured when Betzak again made it 3-0.

That's how it finished and Krakow Team had booked their place in the Cup competition. Budapest Celtic Tigers would progress to the Plate.

The last remaining game in Group C was Vamos versus Barely Athletic. With the result above a draw would be good enough for Vamos to go through in 2nd place, a win would see them join Krakow Team at the top and it would be Vamos who would be champions as any form of win would see them with a superior goal difference.

Barely Athletic would finish 5th whatever happened but it would be great for them to get a win under their belts going into the knock-out stages. From early on though that hope was dashed. One man in particular had it in for Barely Athletic and that was Kryzstof Machoj who bagged a first-half hat-trick.

After the break he made it 4-0 and then 5-0 before having a rest. There was no break for Barely Athletic though as Miron Mierzinski made it 6-0 and Androj Lipczynski 7-0. Wojcech Poptewski grabbed two to make it 9-0 and then Kuba Janos scored a couple for 11-0. It was the biggest win of the day.

Vamos were Group C champions!

Adjusted Table For Comparison

* Each team given 3 points and 3 goals for the withdrawal of Irish Mbassy to equalize the 3-0 walkover wins in Group B for Crazy Waiters withdrawal. The reason the groups were treated differently is that Irish Mbassy withdrew the night before the tournament so we were able to re-arrange. Crazy Waiters withdrawal only came after two games had already been played so we had to improvise.
