Up
next was the free-scoring A Team of France against
Awiw of Poland. The French team was top of the
table and they were looking to make it 3 wins
out of 3 games and further their claim for the
Group A title. The A Team were certainly favourites
to win against a team with 1 point from 2 games.
A
surprise was on the cards though as we went
into half-time at 2-1…to Awiw! The Polish team
had played superbly and goals from Konrad Wacker
and Sebastian Bigaj had given them a sensational
lead. Dydynho's 7th goal of the tournament meant
The A Team were in striking distance. Could
the team from Paris hit back?
Budapest
Celtic Lions and IFC were watching on and just
waiting for The A Team to slip up. Any dropped
points here would be a great boost to their
own chances. The A Team dug out an equalizer
from Fateh Bekhouche but were unable to find
a winner. It was a great result for Awiw and
the title race was well and truly open in Group
A.
If
Awiw felt the draw against It's Back was 2 points
dropped I am sure they would feel this fine
draw was a good point gained.
