It
was a derby between two local teams in the next
fixture as Krakow Team met Red Army. Red Army
had started well with a stunning debut win but
defeat in the last game brought them down to
earth. It was back to the drawing board for
them. Krakow Team was in need of a win for the
same reason – win followed by loss. Who could
bounce back first?
It
was first blood to Red Army as Doug Cooke kept
up his record of scoring in every as he made
it 4 goals in 3 games. It was Red Army who lead
at the interval. In the second half Filip Betzak
equalized for Krakow Team and it was game on.
A draw would be a useful point in such a tight
group but a win would be a huge result.
Could
either team find a winner? Cometh the hour,
cometh the man and that man was Filip Betzak.
It was he who proved to be the matchwinner.
His second of the game and third of the tournament
meant Krakow Team won 2-1 and took all three
points. They joined Budapest Celtic Tigers at
the top of Group C.
