Game
5 of Group B saw Contejus Hurricanes FC take
on Team Karma. Contejus Hurricanes were finally
to get their campaign under way and they were
champing at the bit to hit the pitch and to
get things going. Team Karma were coming into
the game on the back of defeat – could they
turn it around here?
The
game was a tight one in the opening period and
neither team could break the other down. For
the second game in a row Team Karma entered
half-time all square at 0-0. In Game 1 they
went on to lose and they would hope not to see
history repeat itself in Game 5.
Contejus
Hurricanes were the first team to break the
opposing defence and it was a great goal with
Freddie Milne found unmarked at the back stick
who headed home on the run to make it 1-0. The
game was still in the balance though until Martin
Weltman doubled the Hurricanes advantage. The
game finished 2-0.
Contejus
Hurricanes joined Cracow United at the summit
of Group B whilst Team Karma were still to get
off the mark.
