Group B began with two teams experienced in eurofootballfives.com action as Cracow United took on Team Karma.

Cracow United made a fine debut in the 2012 Krakow Trophy. They won their group with a 100% record and goal difference of +18. A 3-0 Cup Quarter-Final win over Valeo (Pol) followed before a Golden Goal exit to Vamos (Pol) in the Semi-Finals. They also boasted the tournament's top goalscorer.

Team Karma were the second team competing from the Bure Park Old Boys stable. We did a full intro on these guys at the start of Group A so we won't bore you again with the details save to mention Team Karma's specific achievements of Plate Runners-Up at the 2010 Valencia Fives and the Wooden Spoon title in 2011 (requiring two knock-out game victories).

History dictated that Cracow United were arguably the favourites going into this tie but they found it tough going against a spirited Team Karma side. The two teams went into half-time level at 0-0. In the second half the home team lived up to their billing when Nicola Lamacchia broke the deadlock. From there they never looked back as Florian Colas and Eric Gerrardin wrapped up a 4-0 win.

Match 2 saw French team Paris Expats host Hardly Athletic. Paris Expats were on debut in our tournaments as were most of the Hardly Athletic squad save for Darren Downs who is a regular on the eurofootballfives.com scene playing for Kings Old Boys. This year he plays with a whole different set of team-mates as part of stag weekend. With no history to call upon this was going to be a tough game to predict.

The Paris Expats started this one well and raced into a 3-0 lead – Jules Gervais scoring their debut eurofootballfives.com goal. Xavier Benferhat bagged a brace and their lead was commanding at half-time.

Hardly Athletic grew in stature after the break and fought back well. Goals from Stauart Warren (2) and Will Penhallurick got them into the game but ultimately they would not be enough to earn them points as two further strikes from Jules Gervais (hat-trick) won the game 5-3.

Next up was Crazy Waiters of Poland versus travelling team Contejus Hurricanes.

Contejus Hurricanes were making their second appearance in eurofootballfives.com competition and were hoping to emulate a successful debut. In the 2012 Algarve Open they returned home with a trophy and winners medals as they claimed Plate victory.

The Crazy Waiters were on debut so we would get our first “taste” of them (please excuse the restaurant pun) once the teams took to the field...except we wouldn't. The Crazy Waiters were no-shows – disappointing to say the least and showing a lack of respect for the other teams in this tournament and especially Group B.

Contejus Hurricanes therefore were handed a 3-0 win although we're sure they would much rather have played the game.
