Game
5 of Group B was set to be a game between two
first time winners as IFC of Poland met Budapest
Celtic Lions of Hungary. With three points each
already posted and The A Team on six points
– this was shaping up to be a very important
game even though it was early in the day.
The
first half proved to be pretty close and there
was to be just the one goal in it and that goal
came from Neil Evans for the Lions. They extended
the lead after the break through Heike Bult
and Peter Hegedus before Piotr Gyoneva and Rafat
Kimita hit back for IFC. Budapest Celtic Lions
seemed to have it under control as Peter Roscoe
made it 4-2 and the victory was in the bag.
The
win put Budapest Celtic Lions on top of Group
A with The A Team (just in second on goal difference).
IFC were still in the mix despite the defeat.
