Round 2 started with JNJ High Wycombe B versus JNJ Russia in a game with a lot of history over the previous 3 years of the tournament. Both teams came into the game on the back of good early form and a victory. Previous results between these two teams reads as follows:

2012 Group C: JNJ Russia B 2-0 JNJ High Wycombe

2012 Cup QF: JNJ High Wycombe 3-1 JNJ Russia A

2013 Group A: JNJ Russia B 0-1 JNJ High Wycombe A

2013 Group B: JNJ Russia A 5-0 JNJ High Wycombe B

2013 Cup Final: JNJ Russia A 5-0 JNJ High Wycombe A

2014 Group A: JNJ Russia A 2-0 JNJ High Wycombe B

2014 Group B: JNJ High Wycombe A 2-0 JNJ Russia B

So, this represented the 8th meeting between the two teams in just four years with 4 wins to Russia and 3 to England so far with the High Wycombe B team yet to record a victory. That looked like it was set to change at the end of the first half when Paul Lynch gave JNJ High Wycombe B a 1-0 victory.

JNJ Russia came back into it in the second half and there was to be an equalizing goal for Rustam Kechurukov. He had scored 16 goals in eurofootballfives.com competition before today and was now up and running with his first goal of 2015.

The final score was 1-1 and represented the first draw between these two teams.

GBS Reds B were up next as they took on Cilag Team 1. GBS Reds B had tasted defeat in Round 1 and would surely be looking to bounce back as quickly as possible in Round 2. However, having lost by 5 goals in their opening game the last thing they would have wanted was to be up against a team who had won by 5 themselves in Round 1.

GBS Reds B scored their first goal of the day through Marko Titizov but they could not stem the tide at the other end as a first half hat-trick for Sopi Walmir put Cilag Team 1 in control at the break, 3-1.

After the break Samil Zuji made it 4-1. Cilag Team 1 hit five goals for the second game running when Melis Ajvazi scored for the second game in a row to make it 5-1. There was no doubt that Cilag Team were looking in fine form as they topped the table with a maximum 6 points.

To complete Round 2 we had Leeds One versus JNJ Middle East. It was a contest between two teams who had slipped to defeat in the opening round. A win for either would get their campaign going and with 3 games to come after this in the group phase there was still plenty of time to mount a title challenge.

After the opening period of play we were all level going into the half-time turnaround as goals from Nicholas Yuill (JNJ Middle East) and George Lazaro (Leeds One) cancelled each other out. For both teams this was their first goals of the day.

It was a pretty even contest from start to finish and a great game to watch. In the second half JNJ Middle East thought they had won it when Ross McAnlis struck a sweet shot that hit one post, went across the goal line to hit the other post and bounce back out. It was the closest either team came to a winner and the teams would share the points, 1-1 final score.
