JNJ Poland and Slavoj Consumer kicked off Round 4 as the top two teams in the table came head to head. JNJ Poland were moving through the gears with a 0-0 draw, 1-0 win and 5-0 win. They were yet to concede a goal and were arguably the team to beat having already played JNJ High Wycombe A. Slavoj Consumer had just lost to JNJ High Wycombe A so this would be a tough fixture for them to get back to winning ways. Whoever won this game would have the lead of Group B going into Round 5.

Slavoj Consumer responded well to their first defeat of the day and it was they who raced into a 2-0 lead by the interval. These were the first goals of the day that JNJ Poland had conceded and so, naturally, this would be the first time today they had to chase a game. As they came out to attack they did get on the scoresheet through Jacek Banas' fourth goal of the tournament but they inevitably left gaps at the back that Slavoj Consumer took full advantage of. The game finished 4-1 to Slavoj Consumer in what was a sensational performance from the Czech team.

Michal Dudon scored his sixth and seventh goals of the day making this his best ever return in the JNJ Euro Soccer Tournament following his 6 goals in 2012 and 3 goals in 2013. David Blaha scored his third of the tournament and there was a first of the day for Lukas Pokorny. Slavoj Consumer were top of Group B with one round of fixtures to go.

Next up was a crucial game in the middle of the table of Group B as we had the teams currently occupying 3rd and 4th coming face to face. A win for either would see them surge up the table into second place. A draw or defeat would see them stay mid-table with much work to do going into the last round of games.

JNJ High Wycombe A came into the game unbeaten but a point behind their opponents. They had drawn their first two and just claimed their first victory which could well be the catalyst to see them kick-on in this tournament.

The two teams had met at the start of Group B at the 2014 JNJ Euro Soccer Tournament in Bratislava and on that occasion JNJ High Wycombe A had won 4-1. De Puy Synthes 2 were an improved side from 12 months ago though – they were without a win last year and already had 2 in 3 games today. As if to prove that point it was a very close opening half and JNJ High Wycombe A edged it 2-1. Nicki Mills continued his fine run of form in front of goal to get the first for his team and he had scored all his team's goals thus far. Alex Woodger helped him out by getting his team's second as they outscored Dalian Cash's goal for De Puy Synthes 2 in the opening period.

JNJ High Wycombe A eased away from their opponents in the second half. Alex Woodger scored his 16th goal in eurofootballfives.com competition to make it 3-1 – following this game he had now scored in all four years of the tournament. Rob Buckland then put the icing on a 4-1 cake. A repeat of the score from 12 months ago. JNJ High Wycombe A were peaking at the right time going into the business end of Group B.

The fixtures in Round 4 had been interesting – we had 1st v 2nd on Pitch A, 3rd v 4th on Pitch B and to complete the set we now had 5th v 6th on Pitch C. Those two teams were JNJ Wuppertal and Cilag Team 3.

JNJ Wuppertal were returning to the JNJ Euro Soccer Tournament in Prague. They competed at the inaugural Prague tournament in 2012 with two teams. The A team won Group C and the B team finished 4th in Group B (6-team groups). In the knock-out stage the B team fell at the Plate Quarter-Final stage to GTSC of Belgium. The A team fell at the Cup Quarter-Final stage to JNJ Russia B. For Budapest they concentrated their talent into one squad. They had an up and down day with two victories and three defeats in the group stage that saw them finish in 4th position. Their reward was a Plate Semi-Final against Slavoj Consumer which they lost to their Czech colleagues, 4-2.

If JNJ Wuppertal could win this game they would guarantee Plate qualification again. At half-time they were no nearer to this objective as the two teams reached the break level at 0-0. Cilag Team 3 could overtake their opponents in the league table with victory but, unfortunately for Swiss supporters, their hunt for points would continue as they slipped to a narrow 2-1 defeat.

Erdem Basak and Fernandes Mendes Cristavao had been the main attacking weapons for JNJ Wuppertal today and both scored in this game to help their team on the road to victory. There was a European goal for Michael Popic of Cilag Team 3 but it was to be a strike in a losing cause. JNJ Wuppertal sealed their place in the Plate and had an outside chance of reaching the Cup competition.
