The start of Round 3 saw Skidmarks meet Atletico Bardino. Skidmarks had 1 win and 1 defeat to their name so far although they will feel it should be 2 wins from 2 before the late Bruton Black Cats comeback in their last game. Atletico Bardino were looking for their first points having lead in their opening game before conceding 6 goals without reply to lose 3-1 and 3-0. Could they turn it around here?

Atletico Bardino put in a good performance and kept things tight against Skidmarks. There would only be 1 goal to separate the two teams and that goal came from Luke Hatfield who now had two in two games. Luke is no stranger to being amongst the goals in our tournaments as he was crowned the top goalscorer in the 2011 Valencia Fives tournament with 13 goals. If he could match that today then Skidmarks would certainly be in contention for the honours at the business end of the tournament.

With all the other results in, the win gave Skidmarks a share of second place in the Group B table. Atletico Bardino would reside in 7th position.

Group B had been dealing purely in wins so far. With the 9 results we've seen so far all were victories without a draw in sight. Bruton Black Cats and Ladzio would be hoping this would be another win (as long as they were on the right end of the result). Ladzio FC were seeking their first win of the day. Bruton Black Cats had secured theirs at the death of their last fixture with the prized scalp of Skidmarks.

Bruton Black Cats continued their form from the previous fixture into this tie as it was they who broke the deadlock. John Phillips opened his personal account for the day to give his team the lead. Ladzio FC were back in it though when Shahbaz Ahmad equalized for 1-1 with their first goal in eurofootballfives.com competition.

Bruton Black Cats had come from behind in Round 2 and must have feared they would be on the receiving end this time. John Phillips second of the game would have settled any nerves though as his strike proved to be the match-winner.

There was still to be no draw in Group B although at 1-1 you felt Ladzio may have settled for that. Their hunt for points went on whilst Bruton Black Cats had a share of second position.

Up next in Group B was Prospe FC versus Telferscot FC. Both teams had a record of won 1 and lost 1 so far today. The teams were only separated by goal difference with +1 to the Spanish and -1 to the English. The result of this game could be crucial to the teams' hopes of challenging for the Cup qualification places. It could well set the tone for the rest of the campaign.

Prospe FC were the winners of Group C at the 2014 Barcelona Fives with a 100% win record. Having lost their opening game in 2016 they seemed to be finding their groove. They were 3-0 winners in the last round against Atletico Bardino and were on in the lead here thanks to a goal from Daniel Bello (his second of the tournament).

David Pujol scored in the previous game and he was on the mark here to make it 2-0 which is how it finished. Prospe FC had lost their first game and now won two in a row – they were on the march in Group B. In contrast, Bruton Black Cats won their first game and had now lost two in a row – they were on the slide.

To complete Round 3 we had a mouth-watering contest – it was a top of the table clash between the two teams with 100% records. Rapid Bosco Navas and The Spice Boys both had two wins from two and if either could keep that run going they would have sole occupancy of the lead in Group B going into Round 4.

The Spice Boys currently lead the group on goal difference so should this game end in a draw the two teams would continue to share the lead at the top but see that lead reduced from 3 points to 1 point by the chasing pack.

Rapid Bosco Navas had yet to concede a goal in their opening two games but that was to change as Ryan Williams scored for the third consecutive game. The Spice Boys had the most potent attack in the group on the evidence so far and that was their 7th goal of the morning. Samuel Oduntan then took his personal tally to two and his team's lead to 2-0.

When the final whistle blew the score remained 2-0 and it was The Spice Boys who had their 100% intact. They were the team to catch in Group B.
