At the start of Round 3, we had FC Kicks versus Humble Goats. When the tournament draw was made we thought this group might be the group of death given we had the 2022 Amsterdam Fives and 2022 Amsterdam Sevens winners both featured. We were expecting this to be a battle of the top two. However, these two teams found themselves in fourth and fifth position respectively with neither team yet to record a win. It was not what we were expecting and showed the group was probably stronger than we had imagined.

If either team was to continue their ambitions of a second title in as many weeks they really had to win this one – a draw would not be good enough. It was Humble Goats who forged ahead in this match thanks to a goal from James van Zijveld. Humble Goats had lead 1-0 in both their previous games but lost 3-1 and drawn 1-1. This time they were to extend that lead to 2-0 with Wissam Albarho opening his personal account. They were then aided by an own goal and Humble Goats lead 3-0 at half-time.

In the second half, Jazz Prins scored his second of the tournament to make it 4-0. Humble Goats needed the win and they achieved it in style. The result would see them climb to third in the table.

Next up we had Colden Hommodore versus Dolce and Lallana. We were still at the relatively early stages of Round 3 but this was potentially a Group A decider as the two teams at the top of the table came face-to-face.

Both teams were unbeaten despite playing against former champions. Dolce and Lallana currently lead the way with a 100% record and were top scorers in the tournament thus far with 8 goals.

Dolce and Lallana were emerging as the team to watch and the team to beat in Group A. Thomas Forster was again amongst the goals as his seventh of the day put his team 1-0 up. He currently was top of the scoring charts and his goals could well power his team to ultimate glory today.

In the second half Colden Hommodore drew level through Alex Antonelli's second strike of the tournament. It would not be enough to halt the Dolce and Lallana momentum though as Luke Webley scored for the second successive game to make it 2-1. Webley's goal proved to be the winner and his team had win #3.

The result above meant Dolce and Lallana had opened up a 5-point lead at the summit of Group A. London French FC were currently in second place and could reduce Dolce and Lallana's lead to 2 points if they could find a win in their third game. They were up against Whiteley FC who were currently at the foot of the table with two defeats.

The first half belonged to London French FC who were looking in good shape to keep their unbeaten record going. It was Ahmed Cherif who put them ahead in the opening half. Marcos Guijarro Navas then scored his second of the tournament to give his side a 2-0 lead at half-time.

Whiteley FC competed well in the second half and they did pull a goal back and what a special one it was. Josh Harris scoring direct from a free-kick to give his team hope of a point. Ultimately, time was against the English side as London French FC had enough in reserve to take all 3 points.
