At the start of Round 3, we had NiB Catennacio versus Real Sosobad so we chalked up a 3-0 walkover win for Real Sosobad and quickly moved on to the next action on the field of play.

Next up we had FC Kicks versus Sporting Armada. We were still at the relatively early stages of Round 3 but this was potentially a Group A decider as the two teams at the top of the table came face-to-face.

So far today, Sporting Armada had yet to trail in the tournament but that was soon set to change. Not only was it set to change but it was to do so in dramatic style. FC Kicks, who'd had some extra time to prepare due to their walkover in Round 2, flew out of the traps. They were 3-0 up by half-time thanks to strikes from Thijs van Puel, Jasper Kuipers and Auke Jager.

You could be forgiven for thinking that the points were in the bag for FC Kicks but think again. This was the proverbial game of two halves in terms of the score at least. Will Wood scored Sporting's first goal of the tournament and he scored the first goal in this fixture too in order to reduce the deficit to 3-1. The deficit was further reduced to 3-2 with Will Wood scoring his second of the game.

We thought it was all over at half-time but it wasn't. It was now as FC Kicks managed to hold on and take all 3 points. It was a great game and almost a stunning comeback for Sporting Armada.

The result above between FC Kicks and Sporting Armada opened things up for Red Cow Belgrade. At the start of Round 3, Red Cow Belgrade were in third position and two points before the aforementioned teams. If they could win here they would leapfrog Sporting Armada into second place and remain just two points off top spot. Columbia's Finest FC were currently in fifth position and out of the knockout qualification places. A win would see them rise to fourth.

The first half belonged to Red Cow Belgrade who were looking in good shape to keep their unbeaten record going. It was Tom Goyski who put them ahead in the opening half. Joe Howitt then scored for the second successive game to give his side a 2-0 lead at half-time. We'd seen above how leads could quickly disappear in the second half but Red Cow Belgrade extended their lead to 3-0 when James Howitt got on the scoresheet for the first time today.

Columbia's Finest FC did pull a goal back through Max Moggridge but Red Cow Belgrade had enough in the tank to complete the victory and rise to second place in the table.
