Round 2 started with Fylde FC Old Boys A versus Municipality of Raanana. It was a team looking to build on opening game victory against a team looking to bounce back from first round defeat.

With their first eurofootballfives.com game under their belts, Municipality of Raanana now settled into the tournament and were very good here against their second English opponents in as many games. The team from Israel established a 3-1 lead by half-time. A goal from Rolando Terner was followed by a double from Avinoam Bidani. It was not all over though as George Copeland's second strike in two games meant FC Fylde Old Boys A were still in striking distance.

In the second half 3-1 became 3-2. Round 1 hat-trick hero Chris Brown took his tally to the day to 4 goals and the comeback was very much on. FC Fylde eventually ran out of time though as Municipality of Raanana went on to complete the 3-2 win and pick up their first 3 points of the day.

It seems amazing the with Cheesecake FC (10 tours) and Skidmarks (9 tours) their paths have not yet crossed in our tournaments although they have covered many of the same destinations over the years. This was about to chance when they met in Game 5 of Group C.

Both teams had started off with good wins in their opening fixtures. With FC Fylde Old Boys A defeat in the previous game, there was an opportunity to open up a 3 point lead at the top for whichever team could win this game.

It was Skidmarks who made the initial breakthrough in this game as Iain Congdon put his team ahead in the first half. So far, Group C seemed to be the most evenly matched (certainly in terms of the scorelines and margin) and no-one was running away with games. This continued here. In the end it was a goal in each half that saw Skidmarks safely through to victory. Neil Taylor scored the goal that put the game safe in the second period.

It was still early days but Skidmarks were looking good.

Game 6 of Group C would be contested by home team La Morte O I Gladioli and travelling team Scotty Doesn't Know. Both teams had tasted defeat in their opening fixtures but the beauty of the 6-team group is that there was plenty of time to put that result behind you and bounce back. Obviously both teams would prefer to get their first win on the board sooner rather than later.

Both teams fell behind in the first half of their games and never fully recovered. Scotty Doesn't Know would have therefore been relieved as they hit the front for the first time today. Matt Carpenter's goal gave his team a first half lead.

La Morte O I Gladioli needed to hit back to avoid a second defeat and that is exactly what they did. In Brazilian style, going by just the one name, Karel was the man to equalize for the Dutch team. The game ended 1-1.

Only time would tell if this was a point gained or two points dropped. No doubt for Scotty Doesn't Know, having been one up, it would have felt like two points lost.
