At the start of Round 3, Real De Groot would collect their 3 points against Indoorsoccer. They would have the chance to rest those legs and lungs before they got going again in Round 4.

Back to the action and it was 9 Nana Budds to host Cruz Del Surely.

9 Nana Budds got off to a cracking start in eurofootballfives.com action winning the inaugural 2009 Valencia Fives. At the 2011 Algarve Open they finished in a strong group behind 2 times champions Goldsmith Williams before a 3-1 Quarter-Final exit to Cheesecake FC. At the 2014 Budapest Fives they went through their group 5 games unbeaten without conceding a goal but finished 2nd behind Csabagyongye (who won the 2015 Budapest Fives). This meant they drew CIS Committee of Belarus who won the tournament and accounted for 9 Nana Budds 3-0 in the Quarter-Finals.

Next up was the 2015 Berlin Fives where they finished 4th in their 6th team group to progress to the Plate competition. The Quarter-Finals saw them progress 2-1 over FC Auslander before a 1-1 draw in the Semi-Finals which meant a penalty shoot-out. They went out 3-2 on penalties to Rayford Athletic.

Their most recent performance was the 2016 Krakow Trophy. They picked up 2 wins and a draw from their 5 group games as they finished 4th of 6 teams again. It meant Plate qualification where they met Always Short. Sadly for 9 Nana Budds they went out, 3-1.

It had been a slow start for 9 Nana Budds with 1 point from 6 so far and that was to become 1 point from 9. Cruz Del Surely on the other hand were flying. They made it 9 points from 9 as Danny McGee's goal proved to be a match-winning strike.

Pique Blinders had just picked up their first point with a 0-0 draw and would be looking to build some momentum. Sadly for them, the fixture list threw up a game against Huddingpool who were not here. They collected a 3-0 walkover but would wait until Round 4 for their next on field action.

To complete Round 3 we had L'Albiceleste back on Pitch A against RSC Andylecht. L'Albiceleste had been phenomenal in recent events having lifted the 2016 Riga Tournament and 2017 Barcelona Fives. They were looking for a third successive title and had started pretty well with 6 points from 6 so far.

In the league table RSC Andylecht picked up 4 points from 6. This would be their sternest test yet and a good yardstick for how well they would fare in our events. They did pretty well – against 3 x eurofootballfives.com champions and the third most successful team ever in our tournaments, RSC Andylecht competed well.

In the end there was just 1 goal to separate the two teams. Lionel Le Dinh continued his good personal start to the day with his second goal of the competition. It was a 1-0 win to L'Albiceleste who joined Cruz Del Surely at the top of the table.
