Whiteley FC were currently sitting on top spot courtesy of goal difference and they were looking to consolidate that position when they took on Inter Yournan. Despite having no points, Inter Yournan had only lost by the odd goal in their previous games so were no pushovers. They matched their opponents in this game too and at half-time the teams were locked at 1-1 thanks to Dale Matthews 4th of the tournament for Whiteley and Ste Kewley's third for Inter Yournan. In the second half there was to be a winner meaning Inter Yournan lost by the odd goal for the third game running. Elliot Sanderson with the match winning strike for Whiteley FC who were now in pole position to reach the Cup.

Hot on Whiteley FC's heels were FC Seagrave knowing a win would also lift them on to 7 points and a share of top spot. Barrowcelona had won one, lost one although the loss was a heavy one to Montenegro FC. They seemed to take that form into this game as FC Seagrave raced to a 3-0 lead by the break. Portuguese starlet Antonio got the ball rolling before Mark Allard scored two. In the second half Mark Allard completed his hat-trick and Paul Wilson rounded off the scoring. Michael Hillman claimed a consolation for Barrowcelona but it was FC Seagrave who took all 3 points with a 5-1 win.

Montenegro FC went into their third game in confident mood after a 5-0 victory last time out. For Inter Yournan it was their last chance to register a point or maybe a win to potentially claim a place in the Plate. Having lost all previous games by one goal they must have been demoralized but they continued to battle on the pitch and reached the break level at 1-1. Unlike other games they maintained this position and held on for a 3-3 draw. If meant they finished on 1 point and would qualify for the Wooden Spoon in 5 th Place . Montenegro FC were now on 4 points and needed one last push to potentially reach the Cup.

Before that though, Whiteley FC took on Barrowcelona knowing only a draw was needed to qualify for the Cup. A win and a big win would virtually guarantee them the Group D title pending FC Seagrave's final result. Barrowcelona had been on the slide since their first game win and were 2 nd favourites for this game. They gave Whiteley FC a run for their money though and at half-time the team at the top held a slender 3-2 lead. In the second half their quality told though and two unanswered goals meant a 5-2 victory. Dale Matthews added two more to his personal tally and he was in contention for the top goalscorer prize. Alex Cade bagged two to take him to 4 and Elliot Sanderson hit his second of the competition. Barrowcelona were definitely in the Plate and Whiteley FC had secured Cup qualification.

The final game of Group D was a crucial encounter between FC Seagrave and Montenegro FC. To win the group FC Seagrave needed to win by 3 clear goals. To qualify for the Cup a point would be sufficient. In truth they could even afford a narrow loss such was the superiority of their goal difference. Montenegro FC would need at least a 3-0 win to leapfrog their opposition into the Cup. Anything else for them and they would be in the Plate. The game proved to be a tense affair with what was at stake and as a result a close contest ensued. Ultimately though the two teams could not be separated nor the deadlock broken as the game finished 0-0. FC Seagrave finished second and would play in the elite Cup competition. The Plate awaited Montenegro FC.
