The fourth and final group was group D which began with Whiteley FC taking on FC Seagrave. Whiteley FC had performed so well in the Amsterdam Fives 2008 tournament and were starting well again here in the Algarve 2010. They took an early lead through Alex Cade which gave them the half-time advantage, 1-0. FC Seagrave were making their eurofootballfives.com debut and had a mixed squad of UK and Portuguese talent. They fought back from the one goal deficit and forced a 2-2 draw thanks to goals from Antonio and Mark Allard. Dale Matthews was the second scorer for Whiteley FC as both teams started their campaigns with a point.

Match 2 was a Cumbrian derby between Inter Yournan and Barrowcelona who had to battle their hangovers as much as their opponents. Ste Kewley started the ball rolling giving Inter Yournan a 1-0 lead at the break. James Andrews scored a second for them in the second half but three second half goals from Michael Hillman, Gareth Shaw and Philip Hayward swung the match in Barrowcelona's favour winning 3-2.

Portugal 's Montenegro FC ran into Whiteley FC for their first game of the competition. Maybe they were rusty against the English team who had warmed up with a 2-2 draw already or maybe they were just outclassed. Either way, the home team shipped three first half goals. Things were to get no better in the second period as Whiteley FC showed no mercy scoring three more. The final score of 6-0 was emphatic and rocketed Whiteley FC to the top of Group D. Chris Rose bagged a hat-trick, Dale Matthews a brace and Alex Cade scored his second in as many games. There was also a clean sheet for goalkeeper Adam Cole.

FC Seagrave were looking to build on their opening point as they took on Inter Yournan. The teams were looking evenly matched in the first period as the game swung each way but the teams turned round at 2-2. We were treated to more goals in the second half and it was FC Seagrave who ultimately came out on top of their opponents, 4-3. Paul Wilson (2), Gary Thomas and Matthew Allard all on target for the victors. Michael Sear, Ste Kewley ans Paul Lewis with the strikes for Inter Yournan who slipped to their second defeat.

In Match 5 of Group D, Barrowcelona were looking for a second successive victory whilst Montenegro FC were looking to avoid a second successive defeat. They took a heavy beating in their first game but the Portuguese hit back handing out a drubbing of their own and almost retrieving their lost goal difference from the opening game in the process. Hugo Emanuel Martins Viegas was chief architect of the victory as he claimed a hat-trick whilst Adriano Jose Carreira Rombinha scored twice to claim a 5-0 win.

The result meant that at the halfway stage of Group D the top 4 teams were separated by just 1 point and Cup Qualification was really up for grabs.
