Breast Rummage Albion and Chingford Athletic both went into Game 6 with a won one, lost one record. This match was an opportunity for both teams to make a bid for the Cup and move into 2 nd place. With much at stake the teams cancelled each other out in the first half and they went in level at 0-0. Parity would not be maintained until full time though and it was Breast Rummage Albion who went on to score the only goal of the game and give themselves every chance of making the Cup.

The next game was a feisty affair as Vodafone FC met Maritimo. The Portuguese would have been smarting after a heavy defeat last game out whilst Vodafone FC were clearly hungry to gain their first win. It was a win they achieved too and can thank Matt Hall and Mark Dunbar for scoring the goals that led to them claiming all three points. Michael Andrade's first goal of the day for Maritimo was ultimately only a consolation and their team's last goal of the day. After this result, Maritimo surprisingly withdrew from the tournament.

Game 8 in Group B provided, with all due respect to Chingford Athletic, a shock as Athletico Do Hollande came seriously undone against their English opponents. The Dutch team's early form had led all the talk around the tournament to install them as favourites for the competition. Goals from Marvin Fraenk and Matt Thompson earned a 1-1 score at half-time. A good result you would think for Chingford Athletic based on earlier group results but they would not settle for a draw and further goals from Matt Thompson and Lawrence Kierans saw them take victory in a superb 3-1 win.

Due to Maritimo's withdrawal, Breast Rummage Albion claimed a 3-0 walkover putting them top of the table without breaking further sweat….for the timebeing at least!

The result put the pressure on Athletico Do Hollande to get back to winning ways in order to qualify for the Cup and take the Group title with it. Vodafone FC could still qualify in 2 nd but it would take a big victory to do so. That looked less likely when Jerrel Fraenk put the Dutch team 1-0 up. He claimed the second goal as well to put Athletico 2-0 up and clinch the win. The result meant the team from Amsterdam would go through to the Cup whereas Vodafone FC would go into the afternoon knock-out phase looking for glory in the Plate.
