We're not quite sure what to report and how to comment on Game 6 of Group C as for the first time in eurofootballfives.com history the referee saw fit to call time early on a game. The game was following the form book of the morning with Los de Casa leading 3-1 in the second half against Dynamo Fucdarest before an unsavoury incident.

A player from one side went down under challenge, there were reported verbals and raised hands although it has to be said there was no violence or punches/slaps but there were puffed chests and aggression. The referee decided to abandon the game to avoid any further unpleasantness. The result was most damaging for Los de Casa as the game was awarded as a 0-0 draw. Los de Casa were unable to maintain their 100% record.

Game 7 and back to the football as Karma FC met Bridge House. Both teams were looking for their first victories and if these sides harboured hopes of overall glory the victories needed to come now. Bridge House were looking the most likely of the two teams thanks to two first-half goals from Alex Mitchell.

The goals flowed in the second half for both teams as Johnny Colquohoun and Ian Mansley scored their team's first goals of the tournament. Unfortunately for Karma FC though they weren't to earn further points as Bridge House added three more goals of their own. Bridge House shared the goals around with James Harvey, James Malin and Toby Gardener all finding the net.

The 5-2 victory was just what Bridge House needed and saw them rise from 5th to 3rd in the Group C table. Karma FC slipped into 5th place.

At this point Skidmarks had a game in hand on the rest of the field. They sat a point behind their opponents but a win here would see them reclaim the top spot. So far Skidmarks had been superb but this fixture was sure to be their toughest task and a great measure of their form against the defending champions.

There is no question that Skidmarks rose to the challenge and they did not only take the lead against Los de Casa but surged into a formidable half-time advantage. They scored four goals in the first period alone as Luke Hatfield scored two more before Gary Hatfield added two of his own. There was a consolation for Cristian.

In the second period Los de Casa came back into it a little bit but anything other than a Skidmarks win was never really on the cards. Cristian scored again after a goal from Cristofer but goals for Iain Congdon and Simon Tiller maintained the 3 goals advantage. Final score was 6-3 and Skidmarks were flying (…by the seat of their pants maybe!?).

The last group games for Dynamo Fucdarest and Bridge House arrived with the teams separated by just one point in the table. Due to other results in the group, Los de Casa and Skidmarks had already made the Cup competition. A win for either team here would secure their place in the Plate, a draw for Bridge House was good enough for the Plate. A defeat for either team or a draw for Dynamo Fucdarest would keep them looking over their shoulders for Karma FC to avoid the Wooden Spoon.

Dynamo Fucdarest had started Group C with a 0-0 draw and their last group game was following a similar pattern with nothing to separate the teams going into the break. The draw suited Bridge House more than Dynamo Fucdarest so the onus was on the latter to chase goal. When a goal did come it went the other way though and it was Alex Mitchell who scored it. The goal proved to be the winner and Bridge House claimed 3rd place. Dynamo Fucdarest currently sat in 4th.

Whether Dynamo Fucdarest would finish 4 th or not would depend on the result of the final Group C fixture – Karma FC versus Skidmarks. Karma needed a draw to move level on points with Dynamo Fucdarest and move above them on goal difference. A win would put them comfortably 4 th and a defeat would leave them in 5 th .

Their task was formidable though with their opponents arguably being the team of the group phase. Skidmarks had been scoring goals for fun and it's always harded to earn a draw in a high-scoring game. Skidmarks could easily have taken their foot off the gas with the Group C title assured but not a bit of it. They went for the jugular and secured a 7-1 win. Goals from Simon Tiller, Gary Hatfield (2), Neil Taylor, Iain Congdon and Luke Hatfield (2) meant they followed Csabagyongye and Lozenetz City with 100% group records. Skidmarks had the superior group record though and were amongst the favourites for this competition.

For Karma FC, they would play their afternoon football in the Wooden Spoon section.
