Group C began with Dynamo Fucdarest versus Karma FC. Dynamo Fucdarest play in their third eurofootballfives.com tournament. On debut in the 2010 Prague Masters they went out on penalties to JNJ Global Services of the Czech Republic. In the 2011 Algarve Open they went one step further reaching the Plate Semi-Finals where they went out in one of the all-time eurofootballfives.com classics. It was penalties that proved to be their downfall again as Eagles UnAthletic knocked them out with over 100 spectators watching the drama unfold. Hopefully no penalty shoot-outs for Dynamo Fucdarest in Valencia!

Karma FC are part of the Bure Park Old Boys stable who made their eurofootballfives.com debut at the 2009 Prague Trophy before competing in the 2010 Valencia Fives. 12 months ago Karma FC almost went the distance going on to finish runners-up in the Plate Final to Los Halcones.

As hard as the two teams tried in this match, neither forward line could beat their opponents defence with both goalkeepers earning a valuable clean sheet. The game ended 0-0 and both teams were on the board.

Next up on Pitch C was 9 Los de Casa against Bridge House. Los de Casa are the defending champions who won 12 months ago under the name of Futbol City. Although they have a different name they will be hoping for the same result. If they do win, they will be only the second team in eurofootballfives.com history to defend a title. The first by the way was Athletico Do Hollande who won the 2010 and 2011 Algarve Opens.

Bridge House return to Valencia for the scene of their eurofootballfives.com debut just 12 months ago. They entered two sides who both made it to the Cup competition before bowing out at the quarter-final stage with Bridge House A pushing eventual winners Futbol City close in a narrow 4-3 defeat. The club then played in our 2011 Budapest Fives tournament under the names of Bridge House Badgers and MacBengals. Bridge House Badgers made the Cup Quarter-Finals and MacBengals the Plate Semi-Finals both losing to Hungarian opposition. With one squad in Valencia 2011 could they concentrate their efforts and go beyond the Cup quarter-finals?

It was another close game and at half-time the teams were level at 1-1. An Alex Mitchell goal for Bridge House was cancelled out by a goal from Los de Casa's Cristian. In the second half there were to be three further goals with Los de Casa gaining the edge and, just like 12 months ago, Los de Casa won by a solitary goal. James Harvey scored the second for Bridge House but it was Spanish goals from Cristofar and Oscar that secured all three points.

The last team to get underway of Pitch C in Group C was debut team Skidmarks. They would start with a game against Dynamo Fucdarest who had already earned a solid 0-0 draw. Their defence had proven strong on that occasion but was to be undone by the Skidmarks attacking line.

Luke Hatfield gave Skidmarks a 1-0 lead before Neil Taylor made it 2-0. Iain Congdon made it 3-0 and the referee blew his whistle for half-time. The change of ends at half time did not bring a change of fortunes as for Dynamo Fucdarest as Luke Hatfield scored his second for 4-0 and went on to complete a fine hat-trick for 5-0.

It was a great debut for Skidmarks who quickly jumped to the top of Group C. It was a setback for Dynamo Fucdarest though.

The next game in Group C was Karma FC against Los de Casa. Karma FC had a point on the board and a tough task to add to that in this fixture against last year's champions. Los de Casa were favourites but made to work very hard in this game. At half-time they held a 1-0 lead through Alesandro.

1-0 became 2-0 in the second half as Joan completed the scoring for a solid 2-0 win. Los de Casa's title defence was well and truly up and running and they led the Group C table on a maximum 6 points. Karma FC remained in 3rd place.

Bridge House were looking to avenge opening game defeat and get their title challenge back on track when they faced Skidmarks. Skidmarks were looking to build on a cracking opening victory and join Los de Casa at the top of the table.

Neil Taylor of Skidmarks opened the scoring in the first-half to give his side an early advantage. First game hat-trick hero Luke Hatfield made it 2-0 in the second half before captain Ted Cowan opened his account for the day to make it 3-0. Skidmarks were flying high and at the half-way stage of Group C had risen to the top of the pile.

Bridge House unbelievably found themselves in 5th place but they had drawn a very tough opening couple of fixtures.
