There
were now just four teams left with a chance of
claiming the 2010 Valencia Fives title. Samurai
Japan , Galacticos, FC Radbroke and Futbol City
were the teams still battling it out. It would
take a brave man to pick the winner.
Samurai
Japan were many people's picks for the title as
they had won four of their five games, drawing
the other scoring 14 goals and crucially conceding
just one goal to date. In a tournament where the
goals had been flying in that defensive quality
may well be a deciding factor. Galacticos also
had a fine defensive record keeping 3 clean sheets
in their 5 games to date.
It
was Galacticos whose defence came up trumps in
this match. In a really close first half there
was just one moment of brilliance that separated
the two teams as Yaseen Patel found a deft flick
with the outside of his left boot to give Galacticos
a crucial lead. The rest of the game saw Samurai
Japan search for the equalizer.
It
sometimes looked like defence versus attack as
Galacticos soaked up the pressure and looked to
hit Samurai Japan on the counter attack. Shah
Pathan in goal for Galacticos and his defence
coped pretty well with everything that was thrown
at them. Galacticos then made it 2-0 late on through
Fazil Boodi and with Japanese spirits broken Yaseen
Patel scored his second to round off a 3-0 victory.
It
was a solid victory for Galacticos and whilst
3-0 was probably harsh on Samurai Japan there
was no doubt that Galacticos had the game plan
that deservedly saw them through to the final.
We
would see Galacticos in action for one more game
but for Samurai Japan we will have to wait until
next season when hopefully they will join us on
tour again.
