Group C of the 2010 Valencia Fives kicked off with debutants Dickie Dogs taking on Karma FC's sister squad – Triple D. The game proved to be the proverbial game of two halves as Matthew Johnson gave Triple D a nice early 2-0 advantage. Dickie Dogs came back strongly in the second half with goals from Paul Hillier and Neil Ainger bringing the teams level again at 2-2.

At 2-2, the game then ended and both teams had got off to a steady start. Only time would tell if this was one point gained or two points dropped.

Game 2 of Group C saw a Spanish derby between Los Herculanos and Los Betetas. Both teams were making their debuts in eurofootballfives.com competition and so offered our first glimpse of how these teams would fare in today's tournament. It was clear from the early exchanges that Los Betetas were the stronger of the two teams.

With three goals in each half, Los Betetas completed a comfortable 6-0 win as they outclassed their opponents. Javi Robledillo Nieto and Jose Antonio Extremera Martinez each scored twice with Jose Fee Robledillo Pastor and Jorge Robledillo Extremera also scoring. Unsurprisingly, Los Betetas shot straight to the top of Group C.

Bridge House A started their campaign against Dickie Dogs who already had a draw to their name. Dickie Dogs started the brighter in this game and took a 2-0 half-time lead. Bridge House A came back into it in the second half but at two goals down they were unable to close the gap. Captain Olly Gardner scored Bridge House A's first goal of the tournament in a losing cause as they went down 3-1.

Neil Ainger (2) and Paul Haezewindt scored the goals for Dickie Dogs that saw them go top of Group C on 4 points. A great start for them.

Triple D also claimed a point in their first game and were hoping to emulate Dickie Dogs by building upon that point with a win. They came up against Los Herculanos who suffered a heavy opening defeat.

Triple D led their first game at the interval 2-0 and found themselves in the same position in this game. They were in no mood to let the lead slip this time and in the second half went on to increase their lead as they concluded a 4-1 victory. Matt Johnson scored two more to take his tournament tally to four plus there were goals from Alan Browning and David Melin who opened their personal accounts. The only consolation for Los Herculanos was a goal from Francisco Fita but they found themselves rock bottom of the table at the half-way stage.

In Game 5 Los Betetas were aiming to make it two wins out of two when they met Bridge House A. Things were looking good for the Spanish team when they went 1-0 up. Bridge House A found themselves behind again but they launched a successful comeback in this game to get their first point on the board and secure a 2-2 draw. Ali Phipps and Alex Raven were the men to score the goals for Bridge House A who were now just one win away from the teams above them. The draw meant Los Betetas joined Dickie Dogs and Triple D at the congested summit of Group C with all to play for going into the second half of this group.
