Kehar
Club would have the opportunity to avenge
opening game defeat when they took on Czech rivals
JNJ Global Services.
It was another tight game and a solitary goal
separated the teams at the break. It was Michal
Skala who opened Kehar Club's tournament account
and it was to be a lead they would not relinquish.
In the second period Andrei Kyndiy doubled Kehar
Club's lead and when the referee blew for full-time
Kehar Club had their first three points with a
2-0 win.
Harp
Chancers were another team looking to put
first game disappointment behind them when they
met El Studs. El Studs
got off to a flyer in their first game and were
3-1 up by half time. Against Harp Chancers they
would arrive at the break with exactly the same
lead. In the second half they rammed home their
superiority with four unanswered goals. The goals
in this 7-1 victory were shared about with a brace
from each of James Spencer, Alex Davies, Sam Doran
plus a strike from Johnny Catchpole. Vinny Ivanov
scored a consolation for Harp Chancers to spoil
an El Studs clean sheet. The double strike from
James Spencer put him on 5 goals from 2 games
and an early contender for top goalscorer.
Next
up was DHL Prague Red
against Bure Park Old
Boys. The Prague team started where they
left off at Kehar Club and raced to a 3-0 lead
at half-time. American import Will McCollum got
the ball rolling and there was no looking back.
In the second half there was no mercy shown as
the man they call El Duke scored the fourth before
Jan Boula rounded off the scoring with his second
of the game. The final score of 5-0 put DHL Prague
Red joint top and left Bure Park Old Boys searching
for their opening points of the competition.
