The
next scheduled fixture was DHL Prague versus
Slow & Old United. The 3 walkover points
were added to the league table which also put
DHL Prague on 6 points and we had a four-team
tie at the top of Group C.
Two
of those teams would now meet in direct competition
as Wafty Crankers hosted FC Radbroke. This was
a fantastic opportunity for these teams to open
up a 3 point gap at the top with a win. A draw
would be useful edging the teams above their
two nearest Czech challengers but keep them
in the mix with work to do.
As
you may expect from a top of the table clash
the early exchanges were fairly even and at
half-time the teams would need to settle for
a goal each and a 1-1 scoreline. Neill Fraser
scored his second of the day for the Wafty Crankers
to cancel out Pete Cox's second of the day.
In
the second half FC Radbroke took the game by
the scruff of the neck and forged a lead through
Pete Cox again. With their noses in front at
2-1 a brace from Mike Brandon made it 4-1 and
it was game over. Brandon's goals meant he had
scored in all three games so far. The 4-1 victory
meant that FC Radbroke were the team to catch
in Group C.
