Round 3 started with two teams looking for their first victories on the field of play. Fridays had performed well but had just lacked that cutting edge as they had suffered two narrow 1-0 defeats to first half-goals. History looked to be repeating itself as Petr Kaminski gave Kehar Club a 1-0 half-time lead in this game.

Surely Fridays wouldn't suffer another 1-0 loss? Well, no actually but they did suffer another defeat by just the one goal. This time it was a 5 goal thriller and an even more narrow defeat as Martin Drazan scored the decisive winner for Kehar Club in the last minute of the game.

In between there was a goal for Kehar's Petr Pergler plus the first goals of the day for Fridays from Niklas Mattsson and Eugene Vasilyev. You had to feel sorry for Fridays who were a much better team than their league placing suggested.

We say congratulations to Kehar Club who joined FC Radbroke and Wafty Crankers on top with 6 points….temporarily at least as those two clubs both had a game in hand.

The next scheduled fixture was DHL Prague versus Slow & Old United. The 3 walkover points were added to the league table which also put DHL Prague on 6 points and we had a four-team tie at the top of Group C.

Two of those teams would now meet in direct competition as Wafty Crankers hosted FC Radbroke. This was a fantastic opportunity for these teams to open up a 3 point gap at the top with a win. A draw would be useful edging the teams above their two nearest Czech challengers but keep them in the mix with work to do.

As you may expect from a top of the table clash the early exchanges were fairly even and at half-time the teams would need to settle for a goal each and a 1-1 scoreline. Neill Fraser scored his second of the day for the Wafty Crankers to cancel out Pete Cox's second of the day.

In the second half FC Radbroke took the game by the scruff of the neck and forged a lead through Pete Cox again. With their noses in front at 2-1 a brace from Mike Brandon made it 4-1 and it was game over. Brandon's goals meant he had scored in all three games so far. The 4-1 victory meant that FC Radbroke were the team to catch in Group C.
