Wife Can't Wrestle (IRE)

 

The Plate Semi-Finals began with Creative Support meeting UMGA FC. Creative Support's 3rd place finish (compared to UMGA FC's 4th place) and higher group points tally would install them as favourites for this one. They lived up to their favourite's billing and forged a 2 goal advantage by half-time. No doubt UMGA FC would have been effected by their heavy defeat to Lozenetz City in their last group game. The deficit was to increase in the second half although UMGA never threw in the towel. In the end, the game finished 4-1 and Creative Support had made their first eurofootballfives final on debut. The Creative Support goalscorers were Gaz Grant (2), Leon Allen and Scott Miles. Anthony Warner's first goal of the day would be their last at the 2010 Manchester Fives as we sadly had to say goodbye to them.

 
 
 

Atlantic Star 2nd , who made it through in the last game of Group B, would play Irish team Wife Can't Wrestle. The match looked like it was one game too far from the Emerald Isle as they appeared to run out of steam against Atlantic Star 2nd who were now rampant. The Manchester based team hit their visiting opponents for 6 (Dan Ellis x 2, Aaron Conneran x 2, Chris Brereton, Mark Brereton) to book their place in the Plate Final versus Creative Support. Wife Can't Wrestle would no doubt go on to enjoy the Manchester nightlife before returning home to Ireland . We look forward to seeing Wife Can't Wrestle on tour again soon.
