Athletico Chorlton and UMGA FC kicked off Group B on Pitch A. UMGA FC were outwardly talking down their chances before the game and they seemed surprised when they took a 1-0 lead through Chris Wright. Athletico Chorlton poured forward in search of an equaliser but they found a goalkeeper in fine form as Rhys Williams made several good stops to preserve his clean sheet and help earn all 3 points for his team. Athletico Chorlton played well and although they didn't get the result must have been encouraged by the performance.

 
 
 

FC Biermeisters were back in eurofootballfives.com action again after a great debut in the Amsterdam last year where they reached the semi-finals before falling to a golden goal. They met London 's Lads on Tour who were making their eurofootballfives debut. The Biermeisters extended their good Amsterdam form by completing a 3-0 victory courtesy of goals from Charlie Jewkes, Jeremy Hunt and Rob Eatough. It was a tough eurofootballfives.com baptism for Lads on Tour but they still had 4 more games to get things right.

 
 
 

The third game in the opening round of fixtures saw Lozenetz City take on Atlantic Star 2nd. eurofootballfives.com regulars will need no introduction to our Bulgarian friends who are the reigning Prague Masters champions and then narrowly went out on penalties in the semi-finals of the 2009 Barca Fives to eventual winners, Luminy Wolves of France. The game proved to be very close and Atlantic Star competed throughout. The Bulgarian team had to be on the ball to eek out a 1-0 victory with Vencislav Georgiev the goalscoring hero.
