In Round 4 of Group A, two of the three teams occupying top spot came head-to-head with Basford United versus Creative Support. Not only did this give the Bull Heads a great opportunity to capitalise on lost points from one or both these teams but it meant whoever claimed three points here would have one foot in the Cup. A defeat would mean an uphill task going into the last game whilst a draw would suit Basford United more due to their superior goal difference. Basford United were not the type of team to settle for a draw though and watching them play they were after the Group A title and not just Cup qualification. A 2-0 win fulfilled this objective perfectly as Luke Dimech found the back of the net not once but twice to secure all 3 points. Creative Support would now need a big result in Game 5 and maybe rely on other teams doing them a favour.

One of those teams who could do them a favour was Atlantic Star who were taking on their prime rivals Bull Heads. Atlantic Star had lost each game by the odd goal and the last team they needed to face was Bull Heads who remained unbeaten in eurofootballfives competition. Atlantic Star battled and competed well yet again but alas for them that bit of luck or extra ounce of performance was not with them. Bull Heads edged it 1-0 with Neil Bennett's 3 rd goal of the tournament earning a crucial 3 points which put them level on 10 points with Basford United but 2nd on goal difference. They were 3 clear of the team in 3rd and in pole position to reach the Cup.

The final game of Round 4 saw Wife Can't Wrestle meet Wafty Crankers in what was effectively a battle for the Plate. A win for Wife Can't Wrestle would guarantee them a place in the Plate. A win for Wafty Crankers would see them jump into 4th whereas a draw would give Wife Can't Wrestle a cushion but work to do in order to make the Plate especially when you consider the Irish team would meet the league leaders in their final game with the Wafty Crankers, in theory, having an easier final game. There really was all to play for and a lot of credit has to go to the Wafty Crankers who dismissed their drubbing against Basford and put in a much stronger performance. The Irish team did have just enough to see off their Blackpool based opponents and with it secure their place in the afternoon knock-out phase.
