So, onto Round 5 we go and still plenty to play for in Group A. RAF Boulmer B were the pace setters in the table and they currently enjoyed a 5 point lead at the top. They could guarantee Cup qualification and also the Group A title with a win here.

Alea Iacta Est currently sat third in the table. They had a game in hand over RAF Boulmer B but were 6 points behind. Realistically they were in a three-team struggle for second place. Just 1 point separated them, Rain Dragons and Dragon Balls. They would ideally need something from this game to stay in tact for that second place battle.

It was RAF Boulmer B who took the lead – Reece Younie with his second in the tournament. Pedro Silveira equalized for Alea Iacta Est to make it 1-1. It was the first goal RAF Boulmer B had conceded since Round 1. Sam Dawson had scored in every game so far and he was to maintain that record as he put the RAF team back in front at 2-1. Alea Iacta Est were not going to be beaten easily though as they levelled it up again. Krzysztof Kurzeja scored the goal for 2-2.

Saw Dawson proved the match winner last time out against Dragon Balls (1-0). He was to be the man again here as his seventh of the day meant they took all 3 points in a fine 3-2 win.

Pink Lloyd A would enter Round 5 with renewed vim and vigour having just secured their first point and scored their first goals of the day. They came into this game on the back of a 2-2 draw. Due to the way the fixtures had fallen and the 3-0 walkover, TaHU had taken the chance to recharge the batteries ahead of this game. The team from Finland currently occupied 5 th place in the table and were two points ahead of their opponents. A win here would mean they could finish no lower than 5th in the table with eyes set on catching those above.

Pink Lloyd A could go 5th with a win themselves and would represent their highest position to date. It could well be some forward momentum going into the knock-out phase. They lead in this one thanks to a goal from Andy Flett. Antti Linkomaki's second goal of the day equalized for the men from Tampere.

Pink Lloyd A returned to the lead and it was Andy Flett again. They lead 2-0 in the last game and were 2-1 up here but that first win was just tantalizingly proving elusive. Jonne Salminen's goal ensured this one finished 2-2. Honours even.

The 15th game of Group A was a Dragons derby – Rain Dragons versus Dragon Balls. Two teams with Dragon in their name. Two teams wearing orange. One from England and one from Poland. There was no connection between the teams just coincidence on the name and the shirts.

There was not much between them in the table at the start of play. Rain Dragons had 7 points from 3 games, Dragon Balls had 6 from 3. A win for Rain Dragons would make them favourites to claim the second Cup qualification place as it would give them a 4 point lead over their nearest rivals.

Rain Dragons were on an unbeaten run of 7 games in our tournaments that dated back to their final group game of the 2018 Barcelona Fives. Their results had been 4-0, 3-0, 1-1* (6-5 pens), 4-2, 4-1, 3-0 and 2-2. Could they keep this run going?

The concise answer to this is yes. A fifth goal of the day for Ben Care set them on their way. Haydn Gush, a regular scorer in these tournaments over the years, added his first of the tournament and his team's second of the game. Andy Jeffries kept a clean sheet between the posts for Rain Dragons as they marched on.
