It was the turn of TaHU (Fin) to collect their 3-0 walkover win over TS Marpoli (Pol). Let's quickly move on to the games on the pitch.

Dragon Balls (Pol) versus RAF Boulmer B (Eng) was arguably the tastiest game yet in Group A. The teams were separated by 3 points but Dragon Balls had a game in hand. This was a game between two teams that currently held a 100% record. RAF Boulmer B had 3 wins from 3, Dragon Balls had 2 wins from 2. One, or maybe both, of these teams would shortly lose that proud record.

There was quite an incentive for RAF Boulmer B in particular to claim the victory. A win for them would give them a 6 point lead at the top of the table – temporarily at least. What we witnessed was a high quality game and an evenly contested game.

In the end just the one goal would settle it. Cometh the hour, cometh the man and that man was Sam Dawson. His fifth goal of the day would prove decisive. At the other end credit goes to Mark Peat and his defence for their second clean sheet on the bounce. RAF Boulmer B were flying in Group A.

Game 12 of Group A was Pink Lloyd A versus Rain Dragons. Rain Dragons were the most experience team in eurofootballfives.com competition here today. This was tournament #6 for them after 3x visits to Amsterdam, 1 to Budapest and 1 to Barcelona.

Their most recent trip to the 2018 Barcelona Fives was ultimately a successful one. They drew a tough group that featured the eventual winners, AC Mazi 1996 of Greece. They lost their opening four games but finished on a high with a 4-0 win over Wonder Vision. They qualified for the Trophy and won their Semi-Finals on penalties after a 1-1 draw. They then defeated Retainers Academy 4-2 to win the Trophy Final.

On paper, this game looked like a banker. Pink Lloyd A had played 3 and lost 3. They were yet to score and had conceded 17 goals this morning. On the other side of the coin, Rain Dragons had the maximum 6 points on the board with a goal difference of 7-1.

It did not go to plan early on for the Rain Dragons though. Two goals from Neil Sweet put Pink Lloyd A in the ascendency. Rain Dragons hit back through Yulong Meng – his first of the day. Ben Care was making his first appearance for Rain Dragons in Europe today. It was quite a debut with a goal after 7 seconds and a hat-trick in his first game. He was on hand to rescue a point for Rain Dragons as he equalized for 2-2.

The draw for Rain Dragons moved them up to second in the table. Pink Lloyd A had their first goals and first point of the day.
