Dragon
Balls (Pol) versus RAF Boulmer B (Eng) was arguably
the tastiest game yet in Group A. The teams
were separated by 3 points but Dragon Balls
had a game in hand. This was a game between
two teams that currently held a 100% record.
RAF Boulmer B had 3 wins from 3, Dragon Balls
had 2 wins from 2. One, or maybe both, of these
teams would shortly lose that proud record.
There
was quite an incentive for RAF Boulmer B in
particular to claim the victory. A win for them
would give them a 6 point lead at the top of
the table – temporarily at least. What we witnessed
was a high quality game and an evenly contested
game.
In
the end just the one goal would settle it. Cometh
the hour, cometh the man and that man was Sam
Dawson. His fifth goal of the day would prove
decisive. At the other end credit goes to Mark
Peat and his defence for their second clean
sheet on the bounce. RAF Boulmer B were flying
in Group A.
