TNF
would kick-off their third game from 7 th position
in the table. It was quite harsh as they had
two narrow 2-1 defeats so far and they happened
to be against the teams who occupied the top
two places at the end of Round 3. TNF had also
played a game less than most of their rival
teams so were perhaps in a false position in
the table. There was still time for them to
surge up the table but they needed to start
with some points from this game.
Their
opponents were JK Silvertown who made a steady
start with two draws but had just tasted defeat
for the first time to Bure Park Seniors. They
really needed to win this one if they harboured
hopes of reaching the Cup competition. JK Silvertown
turned on the style in this one as they unlocked
their cheat code in Chris Wright. He was the
top scorer at the 2018 Amsterdam Fives with
an impressive 12 goals. He found his scoring
touch to see JK Silvertown race to a 2-0 lead
in this. That opening double paved the way for
Jamie Wallace and Niall Graham to add a third
and a fourth as JK Silvertown completed a fine
way. Tony Varghese kept a clean sheet and all
was good in the JK Silvertown camp. It saw them
rise from 5th to 4th in the table and close
the gap to second place to just two points.
