As
Round 3 of Group B continued, a pivotal clash
unfolded between Elderly Support and FC23. With
both teams sitting atop the table before the
round began, locked on 4 points each, the stakes
were high for this encounter.
Elderly
Support, having shown promise in their earlier
matches, took a narrow 1-0 lead into halftime,
thanks to a goal from Andres Mendoza. The first
half was characterized by competitive play,
with both teams creating chances but failing
to find the back of the net until Mendoza's
crucial strike. The second half saw Elderly
Support build on their advantage. Can Ozturk,
who had been in scintillating form throughout
the tournament, added another goal to his tally,
making it 2-0. Ozturk's goal was his fourth
of the tournament and underscored his vital
role in Elderly Support's campaign as he had
scored in every game thus far.
FC23
fought back valiantly and managed to pull a
goal back through Jharik El Kordi, reducing
the deficit to 2-1. Despite their efforts to
level the score, Elderly Support held firm and
secured the victory.
The final
whistle confirmed Elderly Support's 2-1 win,
pushing them to the top of the table.
