The opening game of Group B in the 2024 Amsterdam Sixes saw FC NoeNoe, one of the five Dutch teams in the group, take on the sole English representatives, Empty Glasses FC. The anticipation was high as both teams were eager to start their campaigns on a positive note.

The first half was a closely contested affair, with both teams displaying solid defensive performances. FC NoeNoe and Empty Glasses FC each had their moments, but neither side could break the deadlock. The teams went into halftime with the scoreline at 0-0, setting up an intriguing second half.

After the break, FC NoeNoe began to assert their dominance. The Dutch side's persistence paid off when Aryan Janatgol found the back of the net, putting FC NoeNoe ahead 1-0. This goal shifted the momentum firmly in their favor. Empty Glasses FC tried to respond, but FC NoeNoe's defence held strong. As the match progressed, FC NoeNoe doubled their lead. Shakirullah Latifi scored a well-placed goal, sealing a 2-0 victory for the home team.

The final whistle confirmed FC NoeNoe's impressive start to the tournament, while Empty Glasses FC were left to regroup and strategize for their next match.

The second match of Group B in the 2024 Amsterdam Sixes featured FC Twente Bag against Elderly Support with both teams eager to get their campaigns underway. Both teams were on debut and, as such, had a blank canvas upon which to paint their footballing artistry.

The first half saw the teams steadily easing into the tournament, with both teams demonstrating solid defensive capabilities. FC Twente Bag and Elderly Support each had opportunities to score, but the goalkeepers and defenders were up to the task, ensuring that the teams went into the halftime break with the scoreline at 0-0.

The second half saw Elderly Support come out with renewed determination. Their efforts were rewarded when Can Ozturk broke the deadlock, putting Elderly Support 1-0 up with a well-executed goal. This breakthrough sparked FC Twente Bag into action as they sought an equalizer. They enjoyed success when Merrick Nowak managed to level the score, making it 1-1. With both teams now pushing for the win, the game became increasingly intense.

In the final moments of the match, just when it seemed like a draw was inevitable, Can Ozturk struck again for Elderly Support. His second goal of the game came with the last kick of the match, securing a dramatic 2-1 victory for Elderly Support. The final whistle saw Elderly Support celebrate a hard-fought win, while FC Twente Bag were left to reflect on a match where they came so close to securing a point.

So, without further ado we headed on to game 3 of Group B which saw FC23 on debut against the defending champions, Shaheens United.

Shaheens United FC were called Summerhouse last year when they got off to the perfect start with a 3-1 win over FC Maroon and 2-1 win over Fog Lane Albion before sweeping Scunthadam aside, 5-1. Another 5-1 win followed over E-Block Europe before their 100% record was broken by The Shepherd's Arms, 3-2. They had still done enough to win the group and met FLA in the Cup Semi-Final. A 2-0 win saw them into a debut final where they met The Shepherd's Arms again. An equally tight match but without the goals this time saw the sides locked at 0-0 at the final whistle. A penalty shoot-out would decide the title and Summerhouse emerged victorious, 2-0.

Shaheens United showcased their championship pedigree early on as they forged ahead. Their efforts were rewarded when Omar Shoaib found the back of the net, giving them a 1-0 lead. The second half saw FC23 come out with renewed vigour, determined to claw their way back into the match. Their persistence paid off when Davy De Bruijn scored a crucial equalizer, levelling the score at 1-1.

Despite both teams creating opportunities to score the winning goal, the defences stood strong, and the match ended in a 1-1 draw. For FC23, it was a commendable result against the defending champions, showing they could compete at this level. For Shaheens United, it was a reminder that retaining their title would be no easy task in this highly competitive tournament.
