The
penultimate game of Group A featured a crucial
clash between Dnipro and Don Lowe's Dudes. The
English team, Don Lowe's Dudes, were desperate
for a win to keep their qualification hopes
alive, while Dnipro aimed to solidify their
position in the group standings by avoiding
defeat.
The
match began with Don Lowe's Dudes taking an
early lead, thanks to Will Foley's second strike
of the day. This goal boosted their confidence
and was exactly what was required, but Dnipro
responded resiliently. Gerard Kock found the
equalizer, levelling the score before halftime.
In the second half, Dnipro took control. Karim
Elbaz put them ahead with a well-placed shot,
making it 2-1. Gerard Kock then extended the
lead with his second goal of the match, securing
a 3-1 victory for Dnipro. They would progress
to the Plate competition.
We
had to say goodbye to the Don Lowe's Dudes Squad.
Whilst the results may not have been what was
desired we hoped they enjoyed their experience
and would take home some great memories from
their Amsterdam tour – both on and off the pitch.
