It
was great to be back in Amsterdam for the fifth
edition of the Amsterdam Sixes. We had teams representing
England, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Wales
assembled to grace the tournament. After 36 games
of action, Summerhouse emerged victorious to hold
the cherished trophy aloft.
The
Shepherd's Arms came close and finished second
as only a penalty shootout denied them victory.
In the process they became the most successful
Welsh team to grace our tournaments.
In
the Plate competition there was travelling success
for FC Maroon as they added the 2023 Amsterdam
Sixes Plate to the Barcelona Fives plate trophy
they won in 2021. They defeated Fog Lane Albion
(Eng) 1-0 in the Plate Final.
The
personal honours were claimed by Tomos Reed of
The Shepherd's Arms who scored 9 goals on the
day.
What
a great atmosphere we had at the tournament on
what was a wonderful sporting weekend. |
