We
began Round 2 with FC Maroon versus The Shepherd's
Arms. FC Maroon entered the match with the desire
to bounce back from their previous defeat, while
The Shepherd's Arms aimed to build on their opening
win. The stage was set for an intense battle.
In
the first half, The Shepherd's Arms took the initiative
and pushed forward with purpose. Their attacking
endeavors paid off when Tomos Reed found the back
of the net, giving his team a well-deserved lead.
The Shepherd's Arms showcased their attacking

The

lead. It was Summerhouse who drew first blood
as Ammaar Shoaib found the back of the net, giving
his team a valuable advantage. Refusing to be
deterred, Fog Lane Albion fought back and managed
to level the scoreline before half-time. Will
Holder Wood's second goal in as many games, showcasing
his goal-scoring prowess, brought his team back
into the game with the equaliser. The first half
concluded with the teams deadlocked at 1-1.
As
the second half unfolded, Fog Lane Albion came
out with renewed determination, pushing forward
in search of a go-ahead goal. Their efforts almost
paid off when they struck the post, inches away
from taking the lead. However, it was Summerhouse
who capitalized on their chance, as Ammaar Shoaib
scored his second goal of the match, putting his
team in front once again.
Summerhouse's
goal proved to be the decisive moment, as Fog
Lane Albion struggled to find an equalizer in
the remaining minutes. Despite hitting the post
themselves, Summerhouse managed to hold on to
their slim lead and secure a hard-fought 2-1 victory.
The
final whistle signaled the end of an intense battle
between two determined teams. Summerhouse celebrated
their second win of the tournament, maintaining
their perfect record and solidifying their position
as strong contenders in Group B.
