In
Game 11 of Group A we had Boca Seniors versus
FLA. This was a battle between the teams currently
occupying the mid-table positions. With FC Dad's
defeat in the previous match there was an opportunity
for the winner of this game to move up to second
position.
The
first half kicked off with both teams displaying
determination and tactical discipline. Boca
Seniors showcased the resilience in defence
they had shown all day with just 1 goal conceded
so far in the tournament. FLA, on the other
hand, sought to break the deadlock by applying
consistent pressure and creating scoring opportunities.
Despite
their best efforts, neither side managed to
find the back of the net in the first half.
The break seemed to invigorate FLA, as they
emerged with renewed determination. They increased
the intensity of their attacks and the pressure
eventually paid off. FLA's Jac Evans capitalized
on a well-executed team move, finding the back
of the net and breaking the deadlock. They later
extended their lead when Reon Hodgson scored
his second of the tournament. Hodgson's goal
added to FLA's advantage and put the match beyond
the reach of their opponents.
As
the final whistle blew, FLA celebrated a well-deserved
2-0 victory over Boca Seniors which moved them
up into the Cup qualification places.
