FC
Maroon versus Fog Lane Albion was the next item
on the Group B menu. With FC Maroon sitting
in fifth place and Fog Lane Albion in fourth,
both teams were determined to secure a victory
and improve their position in the standings.
The
star of the show in the first half was Fog Lane
Albion's Sam Rankin-Costello. He put on a remarkable
performance, scoring a hat-trick with some thumping
finishes to give his side a commanding 3-0 lead.
Entering
the second half with a comfortable advantage,
Fog Lane Albion continued to assert their dominance
on the field. It was Will Holder-Wood who extended
their lead, maintaining his goal-per-game record
and making it 4-0 in favour of Fog Lane Albion.
Not content with a four-goal lead, Fog Lane
Albion kept pressing forward and seeking more
goals. Joe Holder rounded off the scoring, making
it 5-0 and sealing a comprehensive victory for
Fog Lane Albion.
The
victory propelled Fog Lane Albion up to third
place in the league table. As things stood,
it didn't look rosy in the FC Maroon camp but
they had two games to go to turn things around.
