These two teams had met before in the group phase in the very first round of matches. On that occasion, FNF on Tour had won 1-0 with a goal from Adewunmi Oluwo. Obviously a repeat of that would be just what the doctor ordered for FNF on Tour. FNF on Tour also had unfinished business as they were runners-up in the Plate last year (to Dynamo Leila) and would be looking to go one step further this time around.

The match kicked off with both teams showing great intensity and determination. FNF on Tour, keen to erase the memories of last year's Plate final loss, took control early. They applied pressure on the Raiders' defense, creating several scoring opportunities. Their persistence paid off when Tariq Abduelateif found the back of the net with a well-placed shot, giving FNF on Tour a 1-0 lead just before halftime.

As the second half commenced, Raiders Amsterdam intensified their efforts, seeking an equalizer. They pressed forward, but FNF on Tour's defense, which had been solid throughout the tournament, held firm. FNF on Tour's goalkeeper made some crucial saves, maintaining their slender lead. FNF on Tour continued to look dangerous on the counter-attack. Their efforts were rewarded when Faris Cimen scored a brilliant goal, extending their lead to 2-0. This goal provided a cushion for FNF on Tour, allowing them to play with greater confidence and control the tempo of the game.

Despite Raiders Amsterdam's relentless attempts to get back into the match, FNF on Tour's defense remained resolute. The English team showcased their tactical discipline and teamwork, which had been a hallmark of their tournament run. As the final whistle blew, FNF on Tour emerged victorious with a 2-0 win, securing the Plate title and exorcising the ghosts of last year's near miss.

Huge congratulations to FNF on Tour on winning their first eurofootballfives.com silverware. They proved to be popular winners and were well deserving of their success.

* Sadly, after the match had finished it came to light that, during the game, a racial slur had been aimed at one of the FNF on Tour players by a member of the Raiders Amsterdam squad. Whilst we do not want to give this incident the oxygen of publicity we also do not want it brushed under the carpet. In 18 years of our events this was the first and hopefully last time such an incident occurs. We immediately disqualified Raiders Amsterdam and asked them to leave the premises. They are also banned from all our future tournaments.
