The Plate Group began with IDC taking on DHL Prague Red. IDC were looking for their first win of the day and must have been hoping that a change of group would bring a change of fortunes but sadly for them this game took a familiar pattern as DHL Prague Red ran riot in the opening period. The main architect was Adeogun Oluwatosin who scored four times on the way to a 5-0 first half lead. Martin Rehacek scored the other goal.

In the second half, Meysem Sarabadani's second of the day made it 6-0 before Oluwatosin scored his fifth of the game and then finally a Dan Finlay double declared the score at 9-0. DHL Prague Red surged to the top of the table and lay down the challenge to their opponents. Although IDC were not winning games they were winning many friends in this tournament and continued to play with a great spirit and full of enjoyment.

Next up was Widow Makers and JNJ Global Services. This was proving to be a much closer game and although JNJ Global Services took a 1-0 lead into the break through Wilco Veldhuizen it could have been different. Widow Makers were playing well and JNJ goalkeeper Gordon MacIntosh conceded that Widow Makers could have been 2-1 or 3-1 up at the break. It wasn't to be though and JNJ Global Services made them pay in the second half as Josef Salatek doubled the advantage to 2-0. From there it was relatively one way traffic as Maxence Cuvelier, Vincent Solem and Mark Smith all scored to round off of a convincing 5-0 victory.

JNJ Global Services went into Game 3 full of confidence and looking for a resounding victory. Goal difference could well be crucial in this group as everything pointed to a final game showdown between them and DHL Prague Red. JNJ Global Services were well aware of the need to win and win well.

IDC were in the firing line again and were put to the sword. JNJ Global Services ran riot and completed a 12-0 victory – the largest of the day. The deadly dozen strikes came from a variety of sources with two hat-tricks from Ian Smitton (3) and Wilco Veldhuizen (4). Vincent Solem chipped in with 2 and there were also goals for Maxence Cuvelier, Mark Smith and Chris Peabody.

JNJ Global Services were top with maximum points and a healthy +17 goal difference. They were well on their way to their first silverware in eurofootballfives.com competition.
