Group B kicked off with Czech team JNJ Global Services taking on English team Arrows. Arrows had taken a long drive from England to compete in Prague and they made the drive worthwhile when John Gilham fired his side into a 1-0 half-time lead. Arrows, who were Cup quarter-finalists at the 2009 Barca Fives (having been knocked out by 2-time eurofootballfives.com winners Goldsmith Williams), were showing the early form that could see them progress further this time round.

John Gilham added a second and Joe Heath also got on the scoresheet as they completed a 3-1 victory. Josef Salatek scored the goal for JNJ Global Services who have a record of making Plate Semi-Finals in our tournaments – they had two games left to see if they could maybe make the Cup competition this time around.

DHL Prague Red are regulars in eurofootballfives.com competition with a Plate victory (2008 Barca Fives) and 3 Plate Runner-up finishes (2008 Prague Trophy, 2010 Krakow Trophy, 2010 Prague Masters) behind them. They met 2010 Prague Masters Cup semi-finalists Deportivo in their opening game. The two teams met in that same tournament back in July and on that occasion Deportivo secured a comfortable 4-0 victory.

DHL Prague Red were proving tougher opposition today and at half-time the teams were locked together at 0-0. In the second-half Deportivo showed the strength that had made them our pre-tournament favourites (based upon their July showing). They scored twice without reply through Sebastian Menendez and Otoniel Salazar to complete a 2-0 victory and go level with Arrows at the top of the table.

DHL Red and JNJ Global Services were no strangers in eurofootballfives.com competition. They've met twice before with DHL Prague winning the first encounter 3-2 in the group stages of the 2009 Prague Masters. 12 months ago at the 2009 Prague Trophy JNJ Global Services gained their revenge 3-0. At half-time we were no closer to realizing who would win this one as the teams could not be separated at 0-0.

This was the second game of the tournament where DHL Prague Red had been 0-0 at half-time. In the first match they went on to lose but in this match they went on to win courtesy of Meysem Sarabadani's first eurofootballfives.com goal. It was an important one as it secured all three points for his team and gave them a chance of reaching the Cup. It also shifted the scales in the favour of DHL Prague Red in their historical battle with JNJ Global Services.
