DHL Prague Blue and Arrows had the chance to reduce the deficit at the top and start the chase of Deportivo. Arrows were largely expected to be the team to emerge from the pack in pursuit of Deportivo but it was DHL Prague Blue who took the lead in this fixture through goal machine David Asamoah. The lead did not last too long though as John Gilham equalized for Arrows with his 7th of the campaign.

DHL Prague Blue were putting in a great performance and Asamoah hit his 12th goal of the day to restore the lead for the Czech team. Once again Arrows fought back and it was John Gilham again with his second equalizer of the game. The game reached half-time at 2-2 in this Asamoah v Gilham contest.

In the second half, Arrows stepped up a gear and took the lead for the first time with a Jordan Park goal. John Gilham then completed his hat-trick to secure a 4-2 victory. This goal put him on 9 for the tournament and just 3 goals behind Asamoah in the top goalscorer charts.

In Game 6 SK Zelenec and Brighton & Hove Rockets were looking to emulate Arrows and close the gap on Deportivo at the top. It was the local team that looked most likely as Martin Zahumensky and then Peter Brtka gave his side a comfortable 2-0 lead at half-time. Often in our tournaments the first goal proves crucial in deciding victory in matches. However, this group had seen comebacks in nearly every match and this one was to be no different. Chris McEntee pulled a goal back to reduce arrears to 2-1. In the latter stages Chris Guijarro put the teams back level and it looked like he'd rescued a valuable point for his side. Petr Hossler had different ideas though as with virtually the last kick of the game he hit a rasping drive which goalkeeper Skelding got fingertips to but could not prevent the ball hitting the roof of the net. It was a cruel blow for Brighton & Hove Rockets but a vital goal for SK Zelenec as they joined Arrows in 2nd and kept their hopes of medals alive.

Deportivo had just witnessed Arrows and SK Zelenec reduce their lead at the top of the table from 5 points to 2. They were back in action against DHL Prague Blue to see if they could extend that lead again. Things started well for them as they opened up a 2-1 thanks to first-half double from Sebastian Menendez to outgun the strike from, who else, but David Asamoah.

The second half saw the same pattern with Deportivo taking the second period 2-1 to complete a 4-2 win. There were first goals of the day for Miguel Lasso and Gary Yazbeck for Deportivo as David Asamoah again scored for DHL Prague Blue. The goal was incredibly the 14th of the day for David Asamoah and whilst Deportivo had a 5 point lead at the top of the Cup Group, Asamoah had a 5 goal lead at the top of the goalscoring charts. The win for Deportivo guaranteed they would finish no worse than second.
