Game 4 of Group B was a top of the table encounter between Arrows and Deportivo. John Gilham drew first blood for the English team with his 3rd goal of the tournament in the first half. It was a goal that would prove decisive and in this very close group it was a solitary goal that would earn all 3 points.

It was a solid performance from Arrows that saw them open up a 3 point gap at the top of Group B. It also meant we had to re-think our favourites tag for this tournament. Deportivo had played well but Arrows had played better and wrestled supremacy from their opponents. Only time would tell if the momentum had changed and Arrows would be the team to beat come 4pm this afternoon. It made for an intriguing day's competition.

Deportivo had an instantaneous opportunity to put that defeat behind them and return to winning ways when they were due on next. Having gone 8 games unbeaten in eurofootballfives action (they went out of the 2010 Prague Masters only on penalties) until the Arrows game we know had the chance to see if they could bounce straight back. JNJ Global Services had the unenviable task of standing in their way.

JNJ Global Services struck the first blow in this match as Maxence Cuvelier's goal gave them a 1-0 half-time lead. At this stage Deportivo were potentially looking at not qualifying for the Cup unless they could turn this around. Otoniel Salazar gave them hope when he equalized to make it 1-1. He proved the hero again moments later when he made it 2-1. Sebastian Menendez then made it 3-1 and victory was theirs. Deportivo had shown a fair bit of character to bounce back and were still very much in the title hunt.

The final game of Group B was Arrows versus DHL Prague Red. A DHL Red victory would put them, Arrows and Deportivo all on 6 points meaning one team would miss out on the Cup on goal difference. The way Arrows started in this game though that particular outcome was not looking too likely.

Growing in strength, game by game, Arrows raced to a 4-1 half-time lead. By the end of the game the margin of victory was 6-1 – the biggest of the group. Martin Rehacek's goal for the Czech's was only a consolation as Arrow's Joe Heath bagged a hat-trick, there were two more goals for John Gilham and also one for Jordan Park.

The win made it a 100% record for Arrows and they would go into the Cup Group full of confidence. DHL Prague would go into the Plate group and what odds would you give for them picking up further medals in that competition?
